十月悄然而至，轉眼又到感恩節了。以下是幾項學校的最新消息。

教師團隊人事變動 

原學前班李潔冰老師已辭去教職。即日起，將由陳梅芬老師接任學前班老師一職；余明珠老師則繼續擔任該班助教。此外，我們非常歡迎邱惠麗老師加入我們的團隊，擔任雙語小學A班的助教，與張鄧莉老師攜手合作。

萬聖節慶祝活動

今年的萬聖節適逢星期六，歡迎同學們穿上萬聖節服裝回校同樂。為確保適合各年齡層學生，請避免穿著帶有暴力或令人恐懼元素的服飾。一如往年，我們將在小息時段在體育館舉行「不給糖就搗蛋」(Trick-or-Treat) 活動，讓同學們歡度萬聖節，也歡迎有興趣的家長參與。

溫馨提醒及文化小知識

溫馨提示，本星期六是感恩節長週末，不用上課，請家長們留意。

下星期日（10月18日）是農曆九月初九重陽節。傳統上，人們會在這天登高遠足或掃墓祭祖，表達對先人的敬意與懷念。如今，許多華人地區將此日定為敬老日，藉此倡導尊老敬老的精神，傳達對長者的關懷與感謝。

Dear ACWS Families,

October has arrived before I even realized it, and Thanksgiving is already upon us! Here are a few school updates to share with you.

Changes to Our Teaching Team

Ms. Stella Li, our preschool class teacher, has resigned due to other commitments. Effective immediately, Ms. Kaitlyn Chen will take over the class, with Ms. Juliana continuing to be the class assistant. We are also delighted to welcome Ms. Huili Qiu (pronounced "Chiu") as the new assistant in the Bilingual Primary Class A, where she will be working alongside Ms. Jessica Zhang.

Halloween Celebration

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year! Students are welcome to come to school in their Halloween costumes. To ensure a positive and welcoming environment for all ages, please avoid costumes that are violent or frightening in nature. As in previous years, we will have trick-or-treating activities in the gym during the recess break. Parents are welcome to take part if interested.

Friendly Reminder and Cultural Note

A friendly reminder that there will be no classes this Saturday due to the Thanksgiving long weekend. 

Next Sunday (October 18) is September 9 on the lunar calendar, which is the 

Chong Yang ( Double Ninth) Festival. Traditionally this is a time to go hiking in the mountains and/or pay respects to ancestors by visiting their graves. This day is now designated as Senior Citizens’ Day in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, a time to appreciate and respect the elderly.
