Dr. David Langelier is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Medical Lead of Cancer Physiatry in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Division of Physiatry at the University of Calgary and cross appointed with the Division of Oncology. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) at the University of Calgary prior to completing his Medical Doctorate at the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine. In 2018, he completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency with additional certification in Electrodiagnostics (EMG) from the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists. Following residency Dr. Langelier completed a fellowship in Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship from the University of Toronto and worked at the renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Centre leading the inpatient consultation service and serving on its executive. In 2023 he returned to Calgary to take on the Medical Lead position of Cancer Physiatry.
Dr. Langelier currently works at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and Holy Cross and has a clinical focus on improving functional impairments and maximizing quality of life in all cancer survivors, and to increase exercise participation in those living with and beyond cancer. He holds a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary and has training in mixed methodological research. His main areas of research include: examining the effect of physical activity on cancer associated impairments. creation of a surveillance models to effectively screen cancer impairments, physical activity and clinical trials within the advanced/metastatic cancer populations, and medical education in cancer survivorship.

George Francis is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences as well as the Department of Oncology, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. He completed his medical degree at the University of Alberta (2011) and his specialty training there in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (2016). He then completed a clinical fellowship in cancer rehabilitation at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas (2017), and then returned to his hometown of Calgary where he has been practicing as a Cancer Rehabilitation Physiatrist since then..
Dr. Francis' clinical and academic interests are in neuro-oncology, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and palliative rehabilitation. Their work focuses on improving function, quality of life, and dignity for patients across the cancer care continuum. Dr. Francis is committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in survivorship and supportive care. With an interest in medical education, and Fellowship Director of the Cancer Rehabilitation Fellowship Program, they are passionate about advancing medical education and training the next generation of physiatrists.
Dr. Arjun Ghuman, MD, FRCPC (He/Him)

Dr. Arjun Ghuman is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Quality Improvement Lead of Cancer Physiatry in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Division of Physiatry at the University of Calgary and cross appointed with the Division of Oncology. He obtained both his medical school and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Alberta. Following residency, Dr. Ghuman completed a fellowship in Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship from the University of Toronto, along with a Master's in Quality Improvement. In 2024 he joined the cancer rehabilitation program in Calgary.
Dr. Ghuman's clinical interests including general cancer rehabilitation and musculoskeletal interventional pain medicine. His main areas of quality improvement interest include resource stewardship and equitable access to care, and he has contributed significantly to the national Canadian Choosing Wisely guidelines.
Michelle MacDonald BScPharm (she/her)

Michelle MacDonald works as a Clinical Practice Leader- Faculty Liaison (CPL-FL) with Alberta Health Services (AHS), Pharmacy Services and Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Alberta, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Michelle works one day per week as the Clinical Pharmacist with Cancer Rehabilitation team seeing patients both independently and with the physicians and also is available on a referral basis to the physiotherapists and occupational therapists. She is involved in many aspects of the provision of patient care such as: initial assessment, patient education and counselling, medication reconciliation, , initiating medications utilized in cancer rehabilitation, creation of a care plan including possible alternate medication options, dosage titrations/tapering, monitoring and management of side effects as well as ongoing short term support and monitoring.
Michelle is passionate about providing patient centred care and following behaviour health change principles to 'meet patients where they are at' and to help them reach their health goals. She is a 'trained trainer' with HealthChange Alberta and has been involved in facilitating workshops to healthcare providers and incorporating these concepts into the pharmacy curriculum.
As provincial Faculty Liaison with AHS/Covenant Health and the Experiential Education team of the University of Alberta, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences , she leads, supports and engages with leadership and pharmacists for the recruitment of pharmacy student placements, preceptor skill development and support of students, preceptors when on placement. In her role as CPL, she is a leader with provincial AHS Pharmacy Services and with the Calgary Zone Ambulatory Pharmacy Services portfolio, mentoring and supporting pharmacists in their clinical practice and local or provincial pharmacy initiatives.
Michelle's interests include pain management, chronic pain, chronic disease management and cancer care symptom management, leadership development, mentorship, change management, and behavior health change and implementation science.

Dr. Anne-Sophie Cauchon, MD, FRCPC (She/Her)

Cancer Rehabilitation Fellow, 2025-2026
Dr. Anne-Sophie Cauchoni is a Clinical Cancer Rehabilitation Fellow in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Calgary. She completed her residency training at the University of Laval in 2025. Upon completing her fellowship, she will be moving back to Quebec City, Quebec, to lead the local development of a cancer rehabilitation program, notably at the Integrated Regional Cancer Center (CRIC) of the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis Hospital and at the Chaudières-Appalaches Physical Disability Rehabilitation Center. Her in-patient practice will include consultations in the two aforementioned settings. Her out-patient practice will focus on cancer rehabilitation and the rehabilitation of people with amputations.
She has an interest in medical education. During her fellowship, she hopes to develop a bilingual (English/French) course curriculum that can be shared, among others, with residents of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) programs in the province of Quebec, rehabilitation teams, and at various conferences.

Dr. Lauren Capozzi completed a Clinical and Research Postdoctoral Fellowship in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Calgary in 2024-2025. She is now based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and is the provincial leader for rehabilitation oncology program development.
