Albert W. Opher, IV

Albert is a Penn Jerome Fisher M&T student graduating December 2025, combining technical depth in machine learning with business strategy. Across three AWS internships, he built production, cloud-native ML systems processing 20K+ concurrent users, published on the official AWS Machine Learning Blog, and led the Cohere-Bedrock integration as a founding Tiger Team member. As Anthropic Campus Ambassador, he grew the Claude Builder Club from the ground up to 540+ members (5th largest chapter globally), teaching advanced AI concepts to Penn's technical community and bridging the university's disjoint entrepreneurship ecosystem—connecting builders with Penn venture resources, industry partnerships, and pathways from ideation to deployment. His work spans LLM optimization, RAG systems, real-time ML pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. Albert is exploring roles in ML engineering, AI product, and technical leadership where he can bridge cutting-edge AI research with production deployment.

As an Anthropic Ambassador, founder, and president of the Claude Builder Club at Penn, Albert leads a technical deep-dive on Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) for the Claude Builder Club at Penn. This session covered how to build production-grade AI agents that can seamlessly integrate with external tools, databases, and APIs—moving beyond simple chat interfaces to truly agentic systems.
