This Privacy Policy describes how Albas ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the Albas mobile application (the "App"). Albas is a personal productivity tool designed for private tutors and educators to manage their lessons and students.
Data You Enter
Albas allows you to create and manage records such as student names, grade levels, lesson schedules, subjects, fees, and session notes. All of this data is stored exclusively on your device using local on-device storage. It is never uploaded to our servers, synchronized to a cloud service, or shared with third parties.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter. If you store information about other individuals (e.g., your students), you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorization to do so under applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
Purchase Information
When you subscribe to Albas Premium, we use RevenueCat to process and manage your subscription. RevenueCat may collect and process your purchase transaction data, subscription status and history, and anonymous device identifiers used for purchase validation and fraud prevention. This data is handled by RevenueCat and governed by their Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy. We do not receive or store your payment details. All billing is handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Push Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the App will send local push notifications for lesson reminders and daily lesson summaries. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device, are not transmitted over the internet, and are not linked to any server or external service. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings or within the App.
No Analytics or Tracking
Albas does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking tools. We do not collect data about how you use the App.
Third-Party Services
We use RevenueCat solely for subscription and purchase management. The data involved is limited to purchase history, subscription status, and anonymous device identifiers. No tutoring data, student information, or personally identifiable information is shared with any third party. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Data Security and Retention
Your data resides on your device and is subject to your device's own security protections such as your passcode or biometric lock. We have no ability to access, recover, or transfer your locally stored data. If you delete the App, your data will be permanently removed from your device. We strongly recommend using your device's backup solution such as iCloud or Google One to prevent accidental data loss.
Your Rights and Controls
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times. You can view or edit any data directly within the App, delete individual records at any time, or delete all data at once via the Delete All Data option in Settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will take effect when posted, with an updated Effective Date. We will notify you of significant changes through an app update. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
