About

Welcome! I’m Alba Loureiro, a doctoral student in International Relations at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. I specialize in Development Economics and Gender, and I am interested in topics such as poverty alleviation, the care economy, and early childhood development. 

Before my PhD, I was a Research Associate for the Gender Equality and Inclusion Research Program at the Center for Global Development (CGD) in Washington, DC, where I contributed to research that advances gender equality in global policy.

I hold a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School and a Master’s in International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland as part of a dual-degree program.

Previously, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Smith College, majoring in Quantitative Economics and Government.
