I have been a part of the Human Rights Club at my school for the past two years. Here we advocate for social justice, support new Americans, and help families in need. As Social Media Manager, I create content to highlight our initiatives, promote events, and amplify the club’s mission and impact.
In 2022, I attended Seeds of Peace. There I spent two and a half weeks in Maine, sharing bunks with campers from all different backgrounds. Here we had daily dialogue sessions and team-building activities. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and commitment to inclusivity, and I have made connections here that I will forever be grateful for. This experience is something that I will never forget.
At least once a month I try to volunteer at the Samaritan Center. Here I help serve meals to those in need, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for. I assist with food prep, distribution, and cleanup while engaging with community members in a respectful and supportive way. Volunteering here has given me a deeper understanding of food insecurity and the importance of community service.
At CNY Blessing Box, I help stock and organize donation boxes filled with food and essentials for those in need. I assist in collecting, sorting, and restocking items to ensure families have access to basic necessities. I love volunteering here, and seeing the impact of my help on my community is truly rewarding.
