What is the Server name?

  • starpediatrics.alayacare.com

*No spaces , be sure you have "s" at the end of pediatrics

What is my Log In information?

  • Username: The email address you gave upon hire .

  • Password: your birth date (YYYYMMDD) - you may reset this password once you are logged in if you'd like


How do I view my schedule or shifts from a different day on the app?

  • At this time there is no way to view your entire schedule for the month at once on the app. The app does show day by day.

  • On the app, to see other shifts you are scheduled for:

    • Tap the menu icon in the top left corner. Tap "Schedule" and it will automatically bring you to the current date and will show all shifts you are scheduled for today only.

    • To see previous/ future shifts swipe left or right on the screen to change the date and see scheduled shifts on said date. Be sure to allow the app a moment to load.


How do I clock in/ clock out?

  • To clock in you will tap the shift you are clocking in to from the schedule, then tap the green clock. A Covid-19 questionnaire will appear; answer the questions and submit to clock in.

  • To clock out you will tap the red clock. This is located on the "Info" tab on the ribbon located under the patient's name. you may have to scroll left to find it.

  • There is also a clock in/out shortcut to the right of the patient's name - this will work for both clocking in and out


I can't clock in OR out of my shift. What do I do?

  • Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the app. Tap "Open Activities." Under "Open Work Sessions" tap VIEW ALL

  • Tap the shift that comes up - you are still clocked in to this shift. Tap the clock in the top right corner of the shift's box to clock out.

  • Tap the menu icon again. Tap "Schedule." You should be able to clock into your shift now.


How do I save my Assessment?

  • iPhone users

    • Tap "back" in the 8-12 Assessment until you reach the Initial Assessment (page 1). Then tap "cancel." You will now be prompted to save or discard. Tap "Save."

    • The app will take you back to Service Tasks. Look beneath the 8-12 Assessment. It should say "Saved at ___" with the date and time.**

  • Android users

    • Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the 8 - 12 Assessment. You will now be prompted to save or discard. Tap "Save."

    • The app will take you back to Service Tasks. Look beneath the 8-12 Assessment. It should say "Saved at ___" with the date and time.**


How can I check that my Assessment was submitted?

  • Go to "Form History" and find the 8-12 Assessment submitted at the time you submitted yours. You can also see any 8-12 Assessments submitted through AlayaCare for the patient here.


Can I edit my Assessment after I submit them?

  • No, after you submit your Assessment there is no way to edit it.

  • If your Assessment was not submitted, but saved, you can still access it. Tap Form History, then tap the blue button with the (+), then tap the 2nd option "8-12 Hour Assessment and Narrative."


If payroll calls you and says the did not receive your Assessment, but you think you submitted..

  • Tap the shift and go to "Form History." Tap the blue button with (+)

  • Tap the draft icon to the right of the 8-12 Hour Assessment and Narrative (2nd from top)

  • Tap "Resume" - finish and submit.

If it is NOT THERE, submission may have failed...

  • Go back and tap the Main Menu icon (three horizontal lines)

  • Tap "Open Activities"

  • Under "Uploads" you will see __ Pending - __ Failed. If a number other than 0 is in front of either Pending or Failed, tap VIEW ALL

  • Tap the Refresh icon located at the top of the screen (a circle w/ arrow head) - this will submit your note.


How can I be sure I have clocked out and submitted my assessment?

To be sure your assessment submitted:

  • After hitting "Submit" for your assessment, go to "Form History" (still in that shift, next to "Service Tasks")

  • Tap the three dots in the top right corner

  • Tap "Reload"

  • Be sure the first item on the Form History list is your document; you will see the current date and time (these forms only show "submitted time")

**if you do not see your documentation...

  • Tap the blue + at the bottom of the Form History screen

  • Tap the 2nd 8-12 hourly assessment and narrative

  • Tap "Resume" this will bring up the last assessment you have saved for that patient. You can only have one open assessment for a patient at a time, so you MUST submit before starting an assessment for a new shift.

To be sure you clocked out:

  • Tap the back arrow until you see the Main Menu button (three lines in the top left corner)

  • Tap the Main Menu button

  • Tap "Open Activities"

  • Under "Work Sessions" you should see 0 open - this will mean you are clocked out.


**if you see "1 Open Work Session", tap "View All" then tap the clock in the top right corner of the shift box - this will clock you out

  • Tap the back arrow until you see the Main Menu button
