[Alaska Literature-Based Educator Resources]

Educator - Created Original Resources

Mission of the project

Enjoy a diverse collection of resources created with Alaskan Educators in mind, created by Alaskan Educators. Resources are inspired from Alaska childrens literature with a young audience in mind, specifically grade K-8. They are designed to support educators knowledge of Alaska's history, culture, geography, and the natural world.

Three project categories: Alaskan Unit Reading List, Curriculum Creations, and Community Projects are all designed to gain an overview of the literature of Alaska for young people and offer a variety of methods for engaging children with literature.

Explore Alaska Units. Units include suggested grade level, unit goals and/or student learning outcomes, and include comprehensive reading lists for both educator and learners.

Creative and attractive NEW resources, materials, posters, and books designed for educators on Alaskan Studies.

Projects are created with the intent to share Alaska Children's Literature. Works are projects that are both creative and diverse in medium.
