If you want superior sound isolation for side sleepers who need zero pressure on their eyes, choose ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask; if you need a dual-pack value with advanced Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and total light blocking, choose ASIILOVI 2-Pack.
• ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask: Offers ultra-thin flat speakers that eliminate ear pain for side sleepers, but lacks active noise cancellation and requires manual volume adjustment for maximum effect.
• ASIILOVI 2-Pack: Delivers premium memory foam with deep eye cups for zero pressure and includes two masks for the price, though the thicker design might feel bulkier to some stomach sleepers.
• Best for side sleepers looking for comfort without bulk: ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask.
• Best for couples or travelers needing two units and modern connectivity: ASIILOVI 2-Pack.
The ALASKA BEAR Bluetooth Eye Mask is engineered specifically for people who struggle with the "earache" phenomenon common in traditional sleep headphones. The core of its design lies in its thin, flat speakers. Unlike bulky over-ear designs that press against your temple when you lay your head on a pillow, these flat earphones sit flush against the face contour. This makes it an exceptional choice for those who are strict side sleepers. You will not feel the hard plastic pressing into your ear after hours of use, which is often the dealbreaker for other models.
The material construction is straightforward yet effective. Made from cotton in a solid navy pattern, this mask prioritizes breathability and a soft touch against the skin. The adjustable strap ensures a snug fit for both small women and large men, preventing the device from slipping during the night. However, the trade-off is that the audio relies entirely on passive isolation. The product data sheet explicitly notes that there are no active noise-canceling capabilities. To drown out snoring partners, street traffic, or city lights, you must crank the volume higher or manually position the speakers closer to your ears. If you prefer a completely silent experience without turning up the music, this might not be the right tool for you.
Another standout feature is the washability. The zipper slit design allows you to remove the control module and speakers before tossing the fabric part into the laundry. This is a crucial detail for hygiene, especially since the mask doubles as a normal sleep mask or a hot/cold pack once the electronics are removed. It is also versatile enough for travel, yoga, or running, provided you don't mind the lack of sweat-proofing claims beyond general durability. If you value a lightweight setup that disappears under your cheekbone, this is a strong contender.

The ASIILOVI 2-Pack Sleep Mask takes a different approach by focusing on total darkness and modern wireless performance. The headline feature here is the 3D contoured design made from breathable memory foam. These deep eye cups create a physical space between the mask and your eyelids, meaning you can open your eyes while wearing it without seeing any light. This "zero eye pressure" design is ideal for people who toss and turn or who simply find standard flat masks uncomfortable due to the pressure on their lashes. The memory foam conforms perfectly to the nose and face shape, ensuring a blackout environment that feels more like a sleep pod than a simple band.
Connectivity is where this model pulls ahead significantly. It utilizes the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, offering a stable connection within a 45-foot range. This is a notable upgrade from older generations, reducing the likelihood of signal drops or latency issues when streaming from a tablet or phone across the room. The battery life is equally impressive, boasting a full 12 hours of playback after just a 2-hour charge. For someone who naps, travels long-haul, or sleeps through the entire night without needing a recharge, this reliability is vital.
The "2-Pack" aspect changes the value proposition entirely. You receive two identical black masks, which is perfect for sharing with a partner or keeping one at home and one in a travel bag. The adjustable hook-and-loop strap ensures a secure fit for all head sizes, even if you move around vigorously during sleep. While the memory foam provides incredible comfort for the eyes, the bulkier nature of the 3D cups means it might not be as seamless for stomach sleepers who press their faces directly into a mattress. However, for side sleepers who prioritize total darkness and high-fidelity stereo sound, the combination of memory foam and Bluetooth 5.4 creates a premium experience.
• Best for side sleepers who cannot tolerate any pressure on their ears: ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask. Its flat speaker design is the only one guaranteed to avoid the ache associated with thicker cushions.
• Best for total darkness: ASIILOVI 2-Pack. The 3D memory foam cups offer true light blockage, allowing you to open your eyes without detecting a single ray of light.
• Best for audio fidelity and range: ASIILOVI 2-Pack. Bluetooth 5.4 technology provides a more stable connection and wider range compared to the standard Bluetooth 5.2 found in the ALASKA BEAR.
• Best for hygiene and versatility: ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask. The removable components make it easy to wash the fabric portion and repurpose the mask as a plain sleep aid or ice pack.
• Best value for money: ASIILOVI 2-Pack. Getting two units for the price of one is a significant advantage for families, couples, or frequent travelers.
• Best for travel convenience: ASIILOVI 2-Pack. The longer battery life (12 hours) and durable memory foam structure make it more robust for extended trips where charging isn't always available.
• Best for low-latency streaming: ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask. While both stream well, the specific mention of low latency and clear vocals in the specs suggests a tuned experience for immediate audio sync.
• Best for gift-giving: ASIILOVI 2-Pack. The inclusion of two masks makes it an obvious "buy one, give one" solution for birthdays or holidays.
After analyzing the specifications and design philosophies of both options, I would buy the ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask if my primary concern is sleeping comfortably on my side without waking up with sore ears. The flat speaker technology solves the most painful issue of sleep headphones—the pressure point on the cheekbone. However, if I needed a mask that blocked out every speck of light and offered a more robust Bluetooth connection for long nights, the ASIILOVI 2-Pack would be my pick. For the average side sleeper who values pure comfort above all else, the ALASKA BEAR remains the superior choice for a restful night.
Yes, the ALASKA BEAR is specifically designed with flat speakers to prevent ear pain for heavy side sleepers, while the ASIILOVI uses memory foam to ensure zero pressure on the eyes and lashes.
No, neither mask allows washing with the electronics attached. The ALASKA BEAR has a zipper slit to easily remove the speakers for washing, while the ASIILOVI requires careful cleaning around the memory foam and built-in components.
Neither product features active noise cancellation hardware. Both rely on passive blocking and high-volume streaming to drown out ambient sounds like snoring or traffic.
