If you want a soft, washable cotton mask with removable speakers that doubles as a hot or cold compress for deep relaxation, choose ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask; if you need all-day versatility with Bluetooth 5.4 stability and a 12-hour battery to handle calls or focus work without ear pressure, choose Lullaband Headband Headphones.
• ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask: Its greatest strength is the unique zipper design allowing full removal of electronics for washing and use as a traditional sleep mask or thermal pack; its trade-off is the lack of advanced connectivity features like dual microphones for clear calls. This pick is for the side sleeper who prioritizes temperature therapy and tactile control over high-tech audio specs.
• Lullaband Headband Headphones: It shines with its robust Bluetooth 5.4 chip and long-lasting 12-hour battery life, making it ideal for travel and extended work sessions; however, it lacks the ability to be used as a standalone thermal eye mask without the electronic pod attached. This pick is for the modern multitasker who needs hands-free calling and stable wireless audio from morning to night.
The ALASKA BEAR Bluetooth Eye Mask is engineered for people who treat their sleep routine as a sanctuary of sensory comfort. What makes this product stand out immediately is its construction from soft cotton in a solid navy pattern, which feels gentle against the skin compared to stiffer materials found elsewhere. The design accommodates everyone from small women to large men because the band adjusts easily without feeling too tight or bulky. You get a snug fit on your face contour that stays secure whether you are drifting off at home or settling into a hotel room.
For those who suffer from sensitive ears or sleep on their sides, the flat, thin plastic speakers are a game-changer. Unlike traditional headphones that press hard against the cartilage, these sit comfortably inside pockets that align perfectly over or above your ears. You can adjust the speaker positions within these inner pockets to find the sweet spot where they don't ache after hours of wear. The control panel offers solid tactile clicks, meaning you can navigate tracks or volume without fumbling blindly in the dark.
However, you must understand the limitations before buying. While it blocks ambient noise effectively when the volume is up or the speakers are pushed closer, it does not advertise active noise canceling capabilities. If you need silence without cranking the volume, this might not be enough to drown out loud city traffic or a snoring partner on its own. Furthermore, while it includes a lithium polymer battery, the primary value here is the hybrid functionality. Once you unzip the slit to remove the speakers and control module, you have a clean, simple mask. You can then place a cold or hot pack inside to soothe your eyes, turning a piece of tech into a wellness tool. This makes it perfect for anyone who wants one device to handle sound therapy, white noise, and ASMR meditation, but also wants the option to just rest their eyes without any electronics involved.

The Lullaband Headband Headphones are built for the person who refuses to compromise between their professional life and their personal downtime. This isn't just a sleeping aid; it is a versatile headband system designed to block office chatter, soothe travel anxiety, and create a personal soundscape for focus. The material is breathable cooling mesh fabric, which is ultra-soft and lightweight, engineered specifically to keep your head cooler during sleep or intense activity. This is a crucial distinction for anyone who tends to overheat, as the fabric breathes better than standard cotton blends.
What sets this apart for the working professional is the inclusion of dual microphones. These ensure you are heard clearly on calls, allowing you to take meetings or listen to audiobooks while cooking, reading, or traveling without holding a device. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity provides a stable, clear connection that minimizes latency, ensuring your voice doesn't echo or cut out during important conversations. The offset controls are placed so they do not press into your ears, making it truly comfortable for side, back, or stomach sleepers who also need to stay connected during the day.
The battery life is another massive advantage for the long-haul traveler or the shift worker. With a rechargeable battery offering over 12 hours of playback from just a 2-hour charge, you can power through long flights, overnight trains, or several nights of sleep sounds without worrying about running out of juice. The touch controls allow you to play, pause, adjust volume, and manage calls with a simple gesture, keeping you perfectly relaxed without opening your eyes. However, you should note that while it is machine-washable, you must remove the pod first. It does not offer the same thermal therapy options as the ALASKA BEAR, nor does it convert into a standalone mask. It is strictly an audio-first solution wrapped in a comfortable band, best suited for those who prioritize uninterrupted sound and call clarity above all else.
• Best for battery life → Lullaband Headband Headphones: With over 12 hours of continuous playback versus the standard capacity of the competitor, this is the winner for long trips or multi-night shifts.
• Best for thermal therapy → ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask: Only the ALASKA BEAR allows you to remove the electronics completely to use the mask as a vessel for hot or cold packs for eye care.
• Best for call quality → Lullaband Headband Headphones: The dual microphones provide clear voice transmission for work calls, whereas the ALASKA BEAR focuses solely on audio output.
• Best for fabric breathability → Lullaband Headband Headphones: The cooling mesh fabric is designed to prevent overheating, offering a distinct advantage for warm sleepers or active users.
• Best for tactile control → ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask: The physical buttons provide a satisfying click that many prefer over touch interfaces, especially in low-light conditions.
• Best for versatility → Lullaband Headband Headphones: It transitions seamlessly from a sleep aid to a work headset and workout companion without needing to disassemble anything.
• Best for washing convenience → ALASKA BEAR Eye Mask: The pioneering zipper slit design makes removing components for cleaning intuitive and painless, though both require component removal for machine washing.
• Best for connectivity speed → Lullaband Headband Headphones: Bluetooth 5.4 offers a newer, more stable connection protocol compared to the 5.2 found in the ALASKA BEAR model.
In my opinion, I would choose the Lullaband Headband Headphones for my daily routine, specifically for work. The ability to take clear calls with dual microphones and enjoy a stable Bluetooth 5.4 connection throughout a long day is indispensable. While the ALASKA BEAR is a wonderful tool for pure relaxation and thermal therapy, the Lullaband adapts to the chaotic reality of modern life, serving as both a sleep aid and a productivity tool. The 12-hour battery ensures I never worry about charging during a long flight or a late-night shift, and the cooling mesh keeps me comfortable regardless of the season. For someone looking for the best bluetooth headphones for work that can also double as a sleep mask, the Lullaband delivers the necessary functionality and durability to justify its place on my desk and nightstand.
Both products help dampen ambient noise like snoring by creating a personal audio barrier, but neither advertises active noise canceling technology; you will still need to play sound at a moderate volume to mask external disturbances effectively.
No, you must remove the control modules and speakers from both the ALASKA BEAR and Lullaband units before washing the fabric bands to avoid damaging the lithium polymer batteries or circuitry.
The Lullaband offers over 12 hours of playback time after a quick 2-hour charge, providing enough power for multiple sleep cycles or a full day of use.
Both models feature ultra-thin speakers designed to minimize pressure on the ears, but the Lullaband uses offset controls and the ALASKA BEAR uses adjustable inner pockets to ensure they do not ache during side sleeping.
