Animators Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks founded Laugh-O-Gram Studio in 1921, creating short films through 1923. Although, LOG didn't survive, Disney himself moved to California where his brother was recovering from tuberculosis, where NY film distributor Margaret J. Winkler rights to LOG's last short Alice's Wonderland for $1,500. And the rest is history. . .

These cards are just as charming as the film. Pictured at left is an example from the transparencies. They feature Woody, Jessie, Rex, Buzz, BoPeep, Forky, and the Aliens all in action poses and with a second acetate that puts a costume on the character tranforming them into skaterboarders or headphone-wearing kids. I think this is one of the most creative uses of the medium that I've seen in a long time. And I've been looking at cards for a long time, believe me.

We pulled 5 types from the box: R- character cards, SR - additional characters, NR  - TV-framed film scenes, CR - colorful acetates, RUR yellow star characters, and PR Holiday Character cards.

Most cool thing? These cards are plastic, not paper! I reckon kids could throw them in the toy box and forget about them for years and they would take no damage.

We picked up a Trial Deck Lot and pulled just one of each for the collection. Offering the rest.
