Alarm Clock App & Timer
Alarm Clock App & Timer
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 07, 2026
Alarm Clock App & Timer ("the App") is a smart alarm clock application with stopwatch, reminder, and clock tools developed by Antheia Tools. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information related to your use of the App. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in a clear and simple way.
You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. All alarm, timer, reminder, and world clock data are stored locally on your device. Any data recovery operations happen locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes the information we may collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our Alarm Clock App & Timer on Android devices. It applies to the entire App and any updates or related services.
We comply with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) for California residents, and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
We do not collect any personal data from you through the App. Your alarms, timers, reminders, world clock settings, and preferences are stored only on your device using local storage technologies like Room database and DataStore.
We do not require you to provide name, email, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
The App may collect certain non-personal technical information automatically for crash reporting, analytics, and advertising purposes through third-party services (detailed in later sections). This includes anonymous device information and usage patterns, but it does not identify you personally.
Since we do not collect or process personal data, most GDPR requirements for processing personal data do not apply. Where limited anonymous or technical data is handled by third-party services (such as Firebase), the legal basis relies on our legitimate interest in improving app stability, performance, and providing free features supported by advertising, or on your consent where required (for example, for certain notifications or ads).
To provide reliable alarm, timer, and reminder functionality, the App requests certain Android permissions. We only request permissions that are necessary for core features, and we explain them clearly to users. You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime through your device settings.
Here is a detailed explanation of each permission and why we need it:
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM and USE_EXACT_ALARM: These allow alarms and reminders to trigger at the exact time you set, even when the device is in Doze mode or battery-saving states. This ensures you can rely on the App for important wake-up calls, meetings, or timers without delays.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: We request this so the App can continue running background tasks for alarms and timers without being heavily restricted by the system’s battery optimizations. This helps maintain reliability while respecting your device’s power management.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: On Android 13 and above, this permission is required to display alarm rings, timer completions, reminder alerts, and other notifications. We ask for your explicit consent before showing non-essential notifications.
VIBRATE: This enables haptic (vibration) feedback alongside alarm and timer sounds, improving accessibility—especially when the device is in silent mode.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: After your device restarts, this permission lets the App reschedule your saved alarms and reminders so you never miss them.
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT: This allows alarm and reminder notifications to appear as full-screen interfaces even when the screen is locked or in use, helping you notice and respond to critical alerts immediately.
WAKE_LOCK: We use this briefly to wake the device screen for alarms or reminders, ensuring they display properly without the device going back to sleep too quickly. We use it responsibly to minimize battery impact.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: These allow alarm, timer, reminder, and stopwatch services to run with appropriate priority in the background when active, following Android’s guidelines for time-sensitive features.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: This permission helps display overlay screens for quick snooze or dismissal of alarms/reminders without losing context from your current screen.
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: It gives the App control over audio routing and volume specifically for alarms, reminders, and timers, separate from your media volume.
DISABLE_KEYGUARD: This temporarily dismisses the lock screen when an alarm goes off, allowing you to snooze or dismiss it quickly and easily.
We always aim to use these permissions only when necessary and in ways that respect your device and preferences. The Play Store policies trust developers to request these responsibly for essential functionality like alarms.
All your personal settings and data (alarms, timers, etc.) are stored locally on your device. They never leave your device through our App.
We do not store your data on our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the App from unauthorized access, but no system is completely risk-free. We cannot guarantee 100% security, especially for data stored on your own device.
We use several third-party libraries and SDKs to improve functionality, stability, and user experience. Below is a detailed list with explanations and links to their privacy policies where applicable.
Firebase Crashlytics (com.google.firebase:firebase-crashlytics): Helps us track and diagnose crashes in real-time with anonymous stack traces and device information. This allows us to fix bugs quickly and improve reliability. Privacy information: Firebase Privacy and Security
Firebase Analytics (com.google.firebase:firebase-analytics): Provides anonymous insights into user interactions, popular features, and app performance to help us optimize the experience. Privacy information: Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) (com.google.firebase:firebase-messaging): Enables push notifications for optional reminders or updates. It supports targeted messaging based on topics while respecting user preferences. Privacy information: Firebase Privacy and Security
Firebase BOM: Ensures compatible versions of Firebase libraries (no direct data collection).
Room KTX, Hilt, Gson, EventBus, Lottie, DataStore, Fast Scroller, Annotations, SDP/SSP: These are internal development libraries for local database storage, dependency injection, JSON handling, event communication, animations, preferences, UI scrolling, code safety, and responsive design. They operate entirely locally on your device and do not collect or transmit personal data.
For more details on Google services, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.
The App shows advertisements to support free features. We use AdMob (Google) and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network for displaying ads.
These services may collect anonymous device identifiers (such as advertising IDs), usage data, and interaction information to show relevant ads and measure performance. This data helps advertisers and us understand general trends without identifying you personally.
Google AdMob: Google Ad Policies and Google Privacy Policy
Facebook (Meta) Audience Network: Meta Privacy Policy
You can limit personalized advertising through your device settings (Google Advertising ID settings or similar).
We also use Firebase Analytics for anonymous app usage analytics.
The App itself does not use browser cookies. Third-party advertising and analytics services may use similar technologies (such as mobile advertising identifiers or SDK tracking) on their end. These are governed by their own policies listed above.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no processing of your personal data by Antheia Tools. Any limited anonymous technical data handled by Firebase or ad networks is processed according to their respective privacy policies.
Local data (alarms, timers, settings) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. We do not retain any of your data on our systems.
Uninstalling the App removes all associated local data from your device.
The App offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely and securely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as credit card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Google Play account settings. If you cancel, you will continue to enjoy premium features until the current billing period ends.
Purchase Information:
Google may share limited, non-personal purchase details with us, such as subscription status or validity, so we can unlock premium features for you.
Refunds & Cancellations:
All refund requests must be made through Google Play, following Google Play’s refund rules.
Third-Party Sharing:
We do not share your purchase or subscription information with any third parties, except when required by Google for payment verification.
Policies:
All in-app purchases and subscriptions follow the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Even though we do not collect personal data, you have rights under GDPR if any applicable data is involved through third parties. These include the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and data portability.
You can exercise these rights by contacting us (see Contact Us section). For data held by third parties like Firebase or ad networks, please refer to their policies or contact them directly.
California residents have rights to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of sale of personal information, and non-discrimination for exercising rights.
Since we do not collect or sell personal information, these rights primarily apply to any anonymous data handled by our third-party partners. You can limit ad tracking via device settings.
Our App does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers because it is a native Android application. You can control tracking for advertising through your device’s privacy settings.
Any limited data sent to Firebase, Google, or Meta is transferred and processed in accordance with their global privacy practices and standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions where required. Since most data stays on your device, international transfers of your personal data are minimal or none.
We design the App to avoid malware or network misuse. We do not engage in any activities that could harm your device or network. If you encounter any issues, please report them to us immediately.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, in help sections or ads). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. Please review their privacy policies before using them.
The App is not targeted at or intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or government request, to protect our rights, or to prevent illegal activity. Since we hold almost no user data, such disclosures would be extremely limited.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
