Alarm Clock: Smart Alarm
Alarm Clock: Smart Alarm
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Alarm Clock: Smart Alarm ("the App") is developed by PixlerSam. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our alarm clock app with world clock, stopwatch, snooze, and alarm settings.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
This Privacy Policy covers the Alarm Clock: Smart Alarm Android app. It describes the types of information we may collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information. Any data recovery operations are performed locally on your device. We do not collect any type of personal data that identifies you individually unless it is necessary for the features you choose to use and is handled transparently.
This policy complies with Google Play Developer Program Policies, GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California users), and CalOPPA.
We design the App to minimize data collection. Most features work entirely offline using local storage on your device.
Local Data: Alarms, schedules, user preferences, and app settings are stored locally using Room Database on your device only. This data never leaves your device through our application.
Usage and Performance Data: Through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, we may receive anonymized, non-personal information about app usage (such as alarm interactions and feature engagement), crashes, and performance metrics. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Advertising Data: When ads are shown (via Google AdMob, AdX, and Meta Audience Network), third-party ad networks may collect device information, advertising identifiers, and interaction data for showing relevant ads. This follows their own policies.
No Personal Accounts: We do not collect email addresses, names, or other personal details because there are no user accounts or sign-ins.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as location (except as needed for world clock features if you manually select time zones), health data, or financial information.
For users in the European Economic Area, our processing of any limited data relies on:
Legitimate Interests: Improving app stability, performance, and user experience through anonymized analytics.
Consent: Where required (e.g., for certain ads or notifications), we rely on your device permissions.
Contractual Necessity: To provide core alarm and notification functions you request.
You can withdraw consent or manage permissions via device settings at any time.
The App requests certain Android permissions only when needed for specific features. You can manage or revoke these in your device settings. Here is a detailed explanation:
Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Required for Firebase services, potential API calls for world clock updates, and ad serving. Without it, some online features and ads may not work.
Full Screen Intent (android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Allows full-screen alarm displays and urgent alerts even when the device is locked or in Do Not Disturb mode.
Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE): Provides haptic feedback for alarms, reminders, and notifications to ensure you notice them.
Foreground Service (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Enables background alarm scheduling, stopwatch timing, and persistent notifications. The special use permission supports accurate stopwatch functionality.
Notification Permission (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Sends alarm reminders and important alerts.
Exact Alarm & Use Exact Alarm (android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM and USE_EXACT_ALARM): Critical for reliable alarms that trigger at precise times.
Wake Lock (android.permission.WAKE_LOCK): Keeps the device awake briefly so alarms can sound properly even if the screen is off or the device is asleep.
Ignore Battery Optimizations (android.permission.REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): Helps ensure alarms and reminders continue working reliably without being killed by battery-saving features.
Receive Boot Completed (android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Restores your scheduled alarms automatically after device restarts.
System Alert Window (android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Displays alarm overlays above other apps when triggered. This is used responsibly and complies with Google Play policies.
These permissions do not inherently collect or share personal data beyond what is needed for functionality. We request them only when the relevant feature is used.
All user-created alarms, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using secure Android storage mechanisms. This data is not uploaded to our servers.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any limited anonymized data we receive (e.g., from Firebase). However, no system is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Uninstalling the App removes all local data associated with it from your device.
We use the following libraries and SDKs to provide features. Each has its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review them:
Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring (Google): Used for anonymized usage statistics, crash reporting, and performance insights to improve the App. See: Firebase Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy
Room Database (AndroidX): Local storage only — no external sharing.
Gson, Hilt, AndroidX ViewModel/Lifecycle, Kotlin Coroutines, RecyclerView, ConstraintLayout, LocalBroadcastManager: Internal development tools for app stability and performance. No data collection or sharing.
Material Components, Number Picker, Lottie Animations: UI and animation libraries with no data collection.
For full details on any library, refer to their official documentation or the Android developer site.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob, AdX, and Meta (Facebook) Audience Network. These services may use device identifiers and other non-personal data to show personalized or non-personalized ads.
We use Firebase Analytics for anonymized insights into how users interact with alarms and features. This helps us prioritize improvements.
You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings or Google/Meta ad settings where available.
The App itself does not use traditional web cookies. However, third-party ad networks and Firebase may use device identifiers, advertising IDs, or similar technologies for analytics and advertising. These follow the respective providers' policies.
Any limited data processed (primarily anonymized usage and crash data) is used solely to:
Maintain and improve app reliability
Provide alarm functionality
Deliver and measure ads
Comply with legal obligations
No personal data is sold.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymized analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google’s retention policies. You can request information about data we hold by contacting us.
The App offers in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions: Renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Manage or cancel anytime from your Google Play account settings. You keep premium features until the current period ends.
Purchase Information: Google may share limited, non-personal details (like subscription status) with us to unlock features.
Refunds & Cancellations: Handled through Google Play per their rules.
Third-Party Sharing: We do not share purchase information with others except as required by Google for verification.
All transactions follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion
Object to or restrict processing
Data portability (where applicable)
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond without undue delay.
California residents may request:
Access to personal information collected
Deletion of personal information
Opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
We do not sell personal data. Submit requests via email.
We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers, as the App is primarily a mobile application. You can manage tracking preferences through device and ad network settings.
Any limited data sent to Firebase or ad providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries. We rely on standard contractual clauses and provider safeguards to protect such transfers.
We do not engage in or support malware distribution, unauthorized network access, or similar misuse. The App is designed solely for alarm clock functionality.
The App may contain links to external sites (e.g., our support pages or third-party policies). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information.
The App is not targeted at or intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.
We may disclose limited information if required by law, court order, or government request to protect rights, safety, or comply with legal processes.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date will change. We will notify users of material changes through the App or Play Store listing where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
