Do you proivde a free quotation?
Yes - it is the best way to work. Ideally, we will organise a time to meet at the property and review the job. This will give us both the opportunity to ask any questions to help inform the quote and to ensure your expectations are met at the end of the job. You are given a quote before I leave and this is valid for 14 days.
How do you charge?
I believe that the simplest of ways if often the best. I work on a fixed day rate + materials. Your quote will be the number of days + costs. All this is provided in advance.
What is a working day?
I generally like to start at 08:30 and finish at 16:00. I often take a short lunch, and so this is equlivant to 7 to 7.5 hours per day.
What payments types do you accept?
Bank transfer or for smaller jobs, cash is fine - all get declared and processed in the same way according to HMRC regulations.
What happens if I am not happy?
In the very unlikely event you are not happy with the job, perhaps the way things have dried 2-3 days post-completion. Please give me a call. I will be happy to come back and fix any issues. I want all my customers to be 100% satisified.
Do you subcontract?
No. This is not something I do.
Do you do any discounts?
A great question! For small jobs, I am sorry but this this not something I can do. If the job is large, please contact me to discuss! If you are a returning customer - please ask, as I am sure there is something I can do! 😃
Where do you get your materials?
I source everything I can from Brookers in Hitchin. It is great to support a local business and they have a great seletion of materials.
