Hi, my name is Alan. I'm finishing my PhD in political science at UC Berkeley. I'm currently a dissertation fellow at the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at UC Berkeley. I took a leave of absence to work at Deck and Indigo Engineering where I worked with political organizations to find the most effective ways to communicate with voters using field experiments and causal inference techniques.

My scholarly research has been published in the American Political Science Review and the Quarterly Journal of Political Science.
