About Me
Alam Noor is a researcher with the CISTER Research Centre, Porto, Portugal. His research interests include pattern recognition (computer vision), deep learning, and data processing for real-time applications.
Alam was a visiting lecturer in artificial intelligence for one semester in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. Between February 2020 and December 2020, he worked as an AI researcher in the Robotics and Internet of Things Lab at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Alam has reported journal contributions to IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and MDPI and conference papers in the deep learning field. He is also helping IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer Nature by volunteering to review articles.
Education
Alam Noor got a B.S. degree in the field of electronics from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, in December 2014. He got a Chinese government scholarship to study for his M.S. in Information and Communication Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) and did research in sheep facial expression using deep convolutional neural networks. He got his MS degree in July 2019 under the supervision of Professor Yaqin Zhao (Dean of Undergraduate College and Director of Education and Quality Management Division of Harbin Institute of Technology, China). He is a PhD student in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto in Porto, Portugal, started in February 2021, where he studies electrical and computer engineering.
