Currently, I'm a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the German Jordanian University.
Prior to joining GJU, I worked at the Hashemite University - Jordan, King Abdul-Aziz University - Saudi Arabia, and Wichita State University - USA. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering (Structures & Solid Mechanics) from Wichita State University. I also hold M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
I teach courses in the broad area of solid mechanics and mechanical design. Courses that I taught include Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design I & II, Mechanical Drawing, Strength of Materials Lab, and Workshops. In addition, I also developed and taught a comprehensive course in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
My main research interest is in the field of experimental solid mechanics and I'm particularly interested in the development and implementation of non-invasive measurement techniques. Over the course of my career, I became an expert in the field of optical measurements especially for high-speed motion and deformation. I also have a long and rich experience in mechanical systems design, optical systems design and NDT.
