This Privacy Policy explains how the "Daily Work Progress Report" application ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services. The App is a custom Google Apps Script application designed to facilitate the collection and organization of daily work progress reports into Google Sheets and trigger associated workflow notifications.
By accessing or using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
To function properly, the App requires certain permissions to access data from your Google Account. We only request the minimum scopes necessary for the App to perform its intended functions.
The App requests the following OAuth scopes:
.../auth/userinfo.email and .../auth/userinfo.profile / openid: Used to authenticate you as a user and attach your email address to the progress reports you submit.
.../auth/spreadsheets: Used to read template configurations and write your submitted daily work progress data into our centralized, organizational Google Sheet.
.../auth/script.external_request: Used solely to send webhook notifications (e.g., to Google Chat, Slack, or Microsoft Teams) when a new report is successfully submitted.
.../auth/drive (If applicable): Used to locate, read, or update specific reporting files within Google Drive required for the App's operation.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected exclusively for internal operational purposes, specifically to:
Verify your identity when you access the application.
Record your submitted daily tasks, progress, and updates into our centralized database (Google Sheets).
Automatically notify team members or managers via external chat platforms that your report has been submitted.
Maintain and improve the functionality of the App.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
The data you submit through the App is shared only internally within our organization. It is accessible only by authorized personnel (such as project managers and system administrators) who require access to this information to monitor project progress and evaluate performance.
5. Google Workspace API User Data Policy Compliance
Our App's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We strictly limit the use of Google user data to providing or improving the user-facing features of the App.
We do not use your Google data to serve advertisements.
We do not allow humans to read your data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or for the App's internal operations and even then only when the data have been aggregated and anonymized.
6. Data Security and Retention
Your data is stored securely within our organization's Google Workspace environment (specifically within Google Sheets and Google Drive). We rely on Google's robust, enterprise-grade security infrastructure to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We retain your progress reports as long as necessary to fulfill the organizational tracking purposes outlined in this policy or as required by internal company record-keeping policies.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
