AL LA'EBOON | CONTENT & FICTION DISCLAIMER

Last updated: 22 SEPTEMBER 2026

AL LA'EBOON LABS builds simulation games that depict the collapse, restructuring, and evolution of fictional states, including the Republic of Qalderra and the broader Qalderra Series. This disclaimer explains how to interpret that content.

1. Our games are fiction

Qalderra, its politics, its factions, and every state, organization, and outcome depicted within our simulations are fictional. Any resemblance to real countries, governments, organizations, or historical events is either coincidental or used in the way any political fiction draws on real-world systems to feel authentic, not as commentary on, or a claim about, any specific real-world nation, government, or group.

2. No ending is the "correct" one

Our games, starting with the Qalderra Series, are built around branching outcomes. Depending on how you play, a simulation may end in a restored democracy, a technocratic council, a corporate oligarchy, an installed caliphate, or other outcomes as the series expands.

None of these outcomes is presented by the game itself as the right one, the intended one, or the one we endorse. The mechanics are built to be neutral: no ending is easier to reach, more rewarded, or framed by the game's systems as a "true victory" over the others. Which ending you reach is a consequence of your choices during play, not a message we're sending you.

3. In-fiction characters may argue a position — the game does not

Within our games, individual characters, advisors, and factions may argue passionately for their preferred outcome, the way real political actors argue for real positions. Giving fictional characters real conviction is a writing choice, not a company position. The debate belongs to the characters. The game itself stays neutral, and you, the player, are the one weighing what those characters say and deciding what to do with it.

4. This is separate from anything else we or our founder publish

AL LA'EBOON LABS' games and our AL LA'EBOON INTELLIGENCE content are both intentionally descriptive rather than opinion-based, see our Intelligence page for more on that distinction. Separately, our founder may personally publish opinion-based commentary on politics, economics, or governance elsewhere, under his own name and outside of AL LA'EBOON LABS. Any such personal publication is independent of this company, is not written or endorsed by AL LA'EBOON LABS, and should not be read as reflecting the position of our games, our Intelligence content, or the company as a whole.

5. Intended audience

Our games deal with mature political and economic themes, state collapse, authoritarian consolidation, ideological conflict, and related subject matter. They're intended for players comfortable engaging with serious political fiction, not for children. See individual game pages for platform-specific age guidance where available.
