Hi! My name is Arkady, and I am a fourth-year doctoral student at the University of Oxford. My research focuses on the syntax and semantics of aspect, argument structure, and event decomposition. I am also interested in syntactic approaches to word formation, and the nature of the syntax-morphology interface in general.
My thesis investigates the morphosyntax of perfective and imperfective stems in Slavic languages, with particular emphasis on my native Polish. In the past, I have also worked on nominalisations, genericity, and scalarity in the event domain.
When I don't work, I like to go on long walks with my wife. I'm also a big fan of plant-based food, British comedy and the works of Franz Kafka.
