I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Alabama working on Impact-based Forecasting of flash floods and extreme precipitation events. My research integrates data science, hydrology, and social vulnerability to improve real-world decision-making during climate extremes. 

I earned my Ph.D. through a joint Indo-French program (IISER Bhopal and Université Grenoble Alpes), where I developed novel methods for impact-based forecasting and geostatistical downscaling in data-scarce mountainous regions.

My work spans applied hydrology, network theory, machine learning, and impact-based warning systems, contributing to disaster preparedness, resource allocation, and climate adaptation planning.

• Raman-Charpak award and funding received for the research proposal titled "Improved flood-related decision-making for risk reduction in case of urban flooding using precipitation forecast and socio-economic data in Impact-based forecasting". The funding is received under a bilateral program by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the French Institute in India (IFI), Government of France for six-month stay in the host institute of France (2023).

• Travel grant for attending the American Geophysical Union (AGU) conference at New Orleans, LA, USA (2021). 

• DST-INSPIRE PhD funding received from the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science, Government of India, for the research proposal titled "Unravelling rainfall variability, forecast extreme precipitation events and estimate changes in river dynamics across Indian river basins" (2020).
