Muhammad Akram is currently associated with Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) www.buitms.edu.pk, Quetta as Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of ICT. Dr. Akram Khan received PhD. degree in Computer Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea (www.skku.edu) in 2018. He received MS degree in Software Engineering from Hamdard University (www.hamdard.edu.pk) in 2013 and BS degree in Computer Engineering from BUITEMS in 2007. He has been working with Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at BUITEMS since November 2007.
Dr. Akram Khan has worked with the Intelligence Modeling Laboratory (modsim.skku.ac.kr) at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea from Spring 2014 to Spring 2018. His research at Intelligence Modeling lab. focused on application of Artificial Intelligence and Genetic Algorithm-based Techniques for achieving energy efficiency in En-route Filtering based routing schemes in WSNs as part of the project: "Development of Context Aware Architecture based Secure WSN System" funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF), South Korea.
Dr. Akram Khan is a Fulbright Alumnus and affiliated with the Learning Innovation Division HEC, as a Master Trainer since 2010.
Awards and distinctions to his name include Academic Excellence Award by Prof. (Late )Fazl-e-Haq Mir (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) at Tameer-i-Nau Foundation, Quetta, Academic Distinction Award (Gold Medal) in undergraduate degree program at BUITEMS, Quetta and Academic Distinction Award (Gold Medal ) in graduate degree program at Hamdard University, Karachi.
