About this Tutoring place
I'm a 38 -year-old Engineer with a full-time job who recently rediscovered my passion for teaching. Back in my university days, I used to teach, but life's demands took over until my wife encouraged me to pursue my passion.
During my university days, I taught kids who couldn't afford expensive tutors. Some of them went on to pursue careers as Aeronautical Engineers for NASA, and one works as a Consultant Doctor for the Brooklyn Nets. Realizing the kindness New Zealand has shown me, I feel it's time to give back to the community.
I'm still getting a grasp on some NCEA subjects and curriculum, being an Engineer ensures that grasping concepts won't be difficult. I excel at breaking down and explaining complex ideas. To test my teaching style, I'm offering a couple of free classes. After that, you can pay as you feel comfortable.
I'm committed to helping your kids develop critical thinking skills, especially in STEM subjects. I aim to make challenging topics like TRIGONOMETRY their favorite by presenting them in a way that fosters understanding and appreciation. Many students dislike these subjects because they're not taught correctly, and I want to change that.
I look forward to hearing from you and discussing how I can assist your children in their educational journey.
If you cannot afford to give me anything please let me know, as I am not here to become the next Bill Gates out of this venture but to just develop my passion and in that process I maybe able to make your kids the next Engineer or Doctor plus on occasion it's a bit hard for parents to teach students as kids do not take their parents seriously plus it will allow you to have a quiet time.
My teaching is a mix of theory and practical(a lot of practical) that includes teaching kids using different games and real life examples of things people use on construction sites.
I can either do zoom classes or face to face with them coming over to my place at 1358 Dominion Road, or alternatively happy to travel a certain radius closeby.
Happy to provide references of the current tutors currently
P.S(Thanks for the encouraging response, as I got 5 kids to teach here. 4 for Maths and 1 for guitar).
