Hello Everyone! I am Joy, a student from section Lakas and also the designer and script writer for this website. We made this website with the main purpose of informing others about Aklan’s culture, traditions and heritage. Personally, I enjoyed discovering places in Aklan that I never even knew existed, it made realize that there was still a lot to find out about our province.

For me filming cultural heritage in Aklan teaches the importance of respecting traditions, ensuring authenticity, and collaborating with locals. It emphasizes the need to immerse oneself in the culture to capture its true essence while avoiding misrepresentation. This process fosters deeper understanding, sensitivity, and a genuine portrayal of the community’s identity.
