【First Workshop by Tohoku Digital Archive!】
We hosted our very first workshop, "Explore Akita’s Folk Culture!" at Akita International University.
It was an inspiring day filled with insightful lectures and vibrant performances of traditional folk music and dance. A big thank you to everyone who helped us bring this event to life!
Our workshop was featured in the Akita Sakigake Shimpo newspaper! Check it out too!

Grounded in the activities of the Tohoku Digital Archive project, this book dives deep into the dynamic history, oral traditions, and cultural identity of Akita. It reflects our dedicated efforts to document and share these precious local stories with the wider world.
