PIMSE has organized an International Conference on

“Recent Advances in Business Management, Economics & Information Technology”

It is a moment of great pride and enthusiasm for all of us, as Y.&M. AKI’s Poona Institute of Management Sciences & Entrepreneurship has organized an International Conference on “Recent Advances in Business Management, Economics & Information Technology” on 24^th & 25^th February 2017.

An enormous amount of work has gone into the development of this Conference and I believe you might have observed those effort reflected during these two days.

Day one has begun with the blessings of almighty Allah. It was followed by the Welcome Address by our Director, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed. In his welcome address, where he enlightened the major reasons behind selecting the theme for the conference.

After the felicitation of the guests, Chief Guest of Inaugural function, Mr. David Haney, (USA) VP & Country Manager, Surgard Availability Services – Pune, has addressed the gathering. In his speech, he spoke about advances and continuous innovation in Service industry. He quoted that “At Service Industry, The higher you grow, the more servant you become.”

Guest of honor David Beverungen, Medical Scholar, has compared the life at Germany & India. He also highlighted how India is becoming the preferred destination for German based companies.

After that Mr. Lionel D’Mello, coordinator of the conference has briefed us about the theme of conference. Later, Ms. Anagha Malvade, HR, Leading Oil & Gas giant, has spoken about Women Empowerment, career development and importance of the good resume in corporate world. Dr. Sandeep Rakshit, Director, DY Patil Inst. of Mgt., Ambi-Pune, has spoken about Big Data and importance of research in the advanced era. Our another guest of honour, Mr. Sanjay Chandekar, Station Manager, FTII, Pune, has spoken about Media Management.

Then we had X-culture certificate distribution. & the day ended with the big round a photo session with the guests. Mrs. Misba Kadri has given a vote of thanks for the Inaugural Session.

Day Two started with Mr. Raja D’cruz, HR- Talent Acquisition, Bajaj Allianz – Pune, who has spoken on HR and recruitment. Then we had Mr. Abhijeet Mandlecha, CEO & MD, SAVH Technologies, - Pune, who has spoken about Six Sigma at corporate. Ms. Vidya Mathews, Corporate Trainer & Coach, Pune, has highlighted the current issues and how to have a better communication. Mr. Moiz Iqbal, Sr. Project Manager, Surgard Availability Services – Pune, has spoken about business ethics in current scenario.

At the Valedictory Session Ms. Fiza Somjee, Entrepreneur, The Kick Flip Store, Pune, as guest of honour has given an Entrepreneurial talk. Mr. Ramnath Iyer, Sr. Group Manager (AVP) at a Leading MNC-BPM in India, as a chief guest has delivered an address. In his address, he highlighted the advancement of process engineering. He also talked about how the industry has been shaped from BPO to BPM & Future of BPM Industry.

We have received best wishes from Hon. Prime Minister, Shree Narendra Modi & Our Management, Y. & M. Anjuman Khairul Islam Trust.

Our International Advisory Board includes Dr. Naila Aaijaz , Director Advanced College of Business, Health and IT, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Vasyl Taras, Associate Professor, Bryan School of Economics, Greensbro, USA, Mr. Aiman Alhadhrami, HR- Manager, National Biscuits Industry, Muscat, Oman, Mr. Preet Sarkar, Director, Searchcraft Recruitment Sydney, Australia.

During the conference, 3 Volumes of the Journal have been released. The quality of the journal always has been the issue amongst the readers. To maintain the quality, we have accepted the quality papers mostly based on Primary data. The quality of the journal has itself been maintained when we had 105 authors. Out of those around 40 Ph.D. Doctors and 50+ Research Scholars have contributed the research papers. The authors belong to different universities like Savitribai Phule University, Mumbai University, Aligarh Muslim University, Bharatiar University, Coimbatore, Nagpur University, Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Cambridge University’s Abu Dhabi Campus and Muscat, Oman etc. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed was Manageing Editor & Mr. Sayyed Akhtar Ali was Editor-in-Chief.

Mrs. Anjum Sayyad has given a vote of thanks for the Valedictory Session.
