Research Interests
Vegetation-climate interaction, Weather extremes, Carbon-climate feedback
Biography
I am a Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where my work focuses on plant–climate interactions under changing environmental conditions. My research centers on carbon and water cycle interactions. My strategy is integrating remote sensing, hydrological, climate datasets, and flux tower measurements to better understand key land surface processes and their role in land–atmosphere interactions within the Earth system.
I completed my PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology in April 2025, where I studied the terrestrial linkages between the carbon and water cycles over India.
Recently, I have expanded my research to include weather extremes, with a focus on compound events such as the co-occurrence of hot and dry conditions. I am investigating how land surface feedbacks modulate these extremes at regional scales, and how their frequency and intensity are likely to shift under global warming.
