Biking to Alaska

Yes, twas true...

I'm privileged and honored to have been briefly a part of the 2021 Texas 4000 for Cancer team of students that will be biking from Austin TX to Anchorage AK. The organization is designed to raise money for cancer research and to spread hope and knowledge to the communities across the country quite literally.

During my brief tenure in Texas 4000, my goal was to put a spotlight on the underserved needs of those fighting cancer in developing countries as well as for those living in underinformed local immigrant communities.

Given the ongoing global pandemic, things changed. Many inequities around the world were exacerbated. It seemed like the world was on fire and I didn't know what to do. When faced with my privileges and with my passion to serve the underserved, I began staying on the team was the best way for me to help the causes I more deeply care about. My decision to leave the team came once I began working on GiveASip.
