Greetings! I'm Akash Gugnani, an avid researcher currently immersed in my PhD journey in physics at IISc. My fascination lies in exploring the boundless applications of 2D materials, particularly in developing cutting-edge photodetectors using heterostructures on Silicon dioxide and Silicon substrates.
Armed with a robust skill set in nanofabrication techniques such as 2D material dry transfer, e-beam lithography, and metal deposition, coupled with my adeptness in nano-characterization tools like SEM, AFM, Probe station, and optoelectronics measurements.Beyond my scholarly pursuits, I have been a teaching assistant for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, where I strive to ignite the passion for scientific inquiry in budding minds.
When I am not engrossed in research or academia, you will likely find me seeking solace and exhilaration in sports, particularly indulging in the thrill of cycling and the competitive spirit of badminton. I firmly believe in striking a harmonious balance between academic rigour and personal interests, recognizing their indispensable roles in crafting a fulfilling life journey.
