Code of Conduct

Purpose: This document outlines the expected behaviour of all members of the Akaroa Croquet Club.

●     Operate within the Constitution, Regulations, Policies and procedures of Croquet New Zealand and Akaroa Croquet Club.

●     Show fair play and good sportsmanship at all times.

●     Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others on and off the greens.

●     Be considerate and honest in all dealings with others.

●     Participate in games with all members across all abilities.

●     Demonstrate good etiquette while playing in all games.

●     Be professional in, and accept responsibility for, your actions.

●     Abide by the rules and maintain good relationships with officials, club members and opponents.

●     Be a positive role model at all times.

●     Conduct yourself in a professional manner relating to language, temper and punctuality.

●     Refrain from any form of harassment, bullying or abuse of others.

●     Care and respect equipment and lawns.

●     Appropriate clothing and footwear to be worn at all times.  Flat soled shoes to be worn.

Complaints Procedure

●     Any member may discuss any concern with an Executive Member.

●     If not able to be resolved verbally it is to be in writing to the Club Executive who will decide on investigation.

●     Invite the member/s involved to meet with representatives of the Executive.

●     Detailed notes to be taken of the meeting.

●     Confirm the agreed outcome in writing.

●     Right of appeal from either side.
