We may \"friend\" more people on Facebook, but we have fewer real friends -- the kind who would help us out in tough times, listen sympathetically no matter what, lend us money or give us a place to stay if we needed it, keep a secret if we shared one.

Does that mean we're more isolated in these times when we seem to meet more people online than in person? (How many of your Facebook \"friends\" are really friends of yours?) Defying some of the stereotypes of the digital age, social scientists say Facebook may actually be healthy for us. Keith Hampton at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania wrote a report for the Pew Research Center in which he found that \"Internet users in general, but Facebook users even more so, have more close relationships than other people.\"

\"Facebook users get more overall social support, and in particular they report more emotional support and companionship than other people,\" wrote Hampton in a blog post. \"And, it is not a trivial amount of support. Compared to other things that matter for support -- like being married or living with a partner -- it really matters. Frequent Facebook use is equivalent to about half the boost in support you get from being married.\"

It's always fun and interesting learning the meaning(s) behind song lyrics, but one of the wonderful things about music is that you can relate to songs on multiple levels and apply your own meanings to the lyrics. What a song means to you could be completely different to what it means to someone else, but that's ok. Sharing how songs make you feel is always a bonding experience among fans, whether you find someone who feels exactly the same, or someone who feels the exact opposite and gives you a different perspective. The same song can be uplifting to one person, gloomy and sad to another, and so on and so forth. You could come across someone's analysis of a song's lyrics and think 'yes, exactly, that makes perfect sense', then you could come across this analysis that I've written and think 'what in the fresh hell is this blather, she's insane'. That's your warning - despite the deceptively rational start to the post, this is not a serious analysis of The Last of the Real Ones. I'm about to take Pete's lyrics and completely miss the point in order to explain to you all about how The Last of the Real Ones is about superheroes. Yes, really. Really.

Isn't that the million dollar question with every superhero? Just exactly how much power do you really have? On the surface you look to be 'good', but what are you hiding? Can anyone really have that much power and only want to use it for good? N is asking the important questions here.

Ok, back to the silliness. Therapist is clearly a metaphor for the heroe's mentor, superior, or similar. Love is the death of duty, remember? So the hero's SuperBoss probably wouldn't be overly thrilled at LOTRO having anything that could distract them from their duty. So does the therapist know about N? Is N 'oh, just a friend', or is LOTRO honest about their relationship and bugger the consequences and repercussions? Essentially: are you brave enough to tell the world about us?

Pretty self-explanatory. Heroes protect things. The waves could be anything - supervillains, general bad guys, angry SuperBoss who is not happy that LOTRO handed in his 2 weeks' notice. Could even just be waves - not everyone can swim. And let's be real - lifeguards are heroes. I'm a big fan of Bondi Rescue.

LOTRO has some insecurities showing here. Quitting hero-ing for N, but is it worth it? Does N appreciate the sacrifice? Well N's got to pretend it is even if it's not the case because a Super-meltdown would be dangerous. But I'm sure that it really is true love and that LOTRO really is the only one for N.

These alternating actions create a side-to-side motion that mimics the movement of a real fish. By changing its flow patterns, the hydraulic system enables different tail maneuvers that result in a range of swimming speeds, with an average speed of about half a body length per second.

He says that they also plan to soon use the on-board camera to enable SoFi to automatically follow real fish, and to build additional SoFis for biologists to study how fish respond to different changes in their environment.

Sean Penn shares his profound experiences from Ukraine, revealing the stark realities of war and the resilient spirit of its people. Penn and Bernthal delve into a deep conversation about the power of community in the face of adversity, the nuances of acting and documentary filmmaking, and the responsibility artists feel to represent real-life stories authentically. The discussion also touches on broader issues in the film industry, including the challenges of political correctness and the quest for genuine diversity in storytelling. Penn's candid reflections offer a rare glimpse into the intersection of art, activism, and the human condition, making this episode a must-listen for anyone seeking insight into the complexities of our world today.

Combination of floats with integers and reals introduce non-linearity, which is always a soft-spot for solvers. So, if you're using FP, it is advisable not to mix it with other theories as the combination itself creates extra complexity.

The logic of reals have a decision procedure with a double-exponential complexity. However, techniques like Fourier-Motzkin elimination ( _elimination), while remaining exponential, perform really well in practice.

Perhaps I'll just replace 50 of the most common cars with their real life counterparts (perhaps low-quality?) so traffic will look more life like, and then just add-on the cars that I plan to actually drive

@ModzRUs If I tried to do anything close to this my PC would light itself on fire. I once had about 2 dozen replacements, but had to pare back to about a half a dozen, because the pop-in was WAY over-the-top. What I have come to realize - why so many can do this - while I can't - is because I have edits to my gameconfig, popcycle, and popgroups that dramatically increase vehicular and ped densities.

I already have all the real-life badges for the vanillas. What I will eventually get around to doing is replacing all the cars I want for myself, spawn with trainer, store in my SPA garages, and then remove their entries from popgroups, so they don't spawn naturally in traffic.

Just now I scaled back on more parameters that I had gotten from @Willief23 gameconfig for all fixes. I compared many of his values to the RDE gameconfig, and found that quite a many, where insanely higher than the RDE config. I don't do any add-ons other than what came with RDE, so I scaled back on many, not all, just the ones I thought might be contributing to my issues. Soon, I will test for results, and report back my findings.

@Cerberuss I don't use a trainer, so doing add-ons was never an option. I don't care if vanillas load naturally, I just want real-life replacements for myself. I am now thinking, to simply replace all vehicles I want, and then add their names to the SPA garage files, and then remove their entries from popgroups, so they won't spawn naturally. I just can't go too crazy, else I will have a lot of repetition of similar vehicles spawning everywhere, LOL.

Iirc the internal heap is not big enough to accommodate much more than what is needed by the vanilla game. NTA mentioned it on gtaforums once. Therefore memory- related problems are pretty much unavoidable unless someone figures out how to reallocate the heap at run-time.

Emil Sierda, who was in charge of conducting the experiments at Radboud University: 'A few years ago we had this crazy idea to build a quantum simulator. We wanted to create artificial molecules that resembled real molecules. So we developed a system in which we can trap electrons. Electrons surround a molecule like a cloud, and we used those trapped electrons to build an artificial molecule.' The results the team found were astonishing. Sierda: 'The resemblance between what we built and real molecules was uncanny.'

Alex Khajetoorians, head of the Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) department at the Institute for Molecules and Materials of Radboud University: 'Making molecules is difficult enough. What is often harder, is to understand how certain molecules react, for example how they change when they are twisted or altered.' How molecules change and react is the basis of chemistry, and leads to chemical reactions, like the formation of water from hydrogen and oxygen. 'We wanted to simulate molecules, so we could have the ultimate toolkit to bend them and tune them in ways that are nearly impossible with real molecules. In that way we can say something about real molecules, without making them, or without having to deal with the challenges they present, like their constantly changing shape.'

Using this simulator, the researchers created an artificial version of one of the basic organic molecules in chemistry: benzene. Benzene is the starting component for a vast amount of chemicals, like styrene, which is used to make polystyrene. Khajetoorians: 'By making benzene, we simulated a textbook organic molecule, and built a molecule that is made up of elements that are not organic.' Above that: the molecules are 10 times bigger than their real counterparts, which makes them easier to work with. 2351a5e196
