What I believe about art is that art is always selfish. Any art begins with self pleasure. If there is no pleasure in doing the thing, rest of the purposes can never be achieved. I believe that main function of any kind of art is to please one's own self than others. Vincent Van Gogh can be the best example for it. He painted because it pleased him than anything. He never made paintings for money. Nor for giving message to others or betterment of society. Writing your pain on paper can make you feel better and meaning is not necessary at all. Meaning, message, these things are not functions of art. The only function of art I believe is pleasure of heart. Sometime I draw when I see something, sometime I draw when I read something, sometime I draw for passing the time and sometime for money, sometime I draw for life I have lived, sometime I draw the life I want to live, sometime I draw when hate something and sometime I draw when love something.
