NAME LOGO

1. Project Description

Design a logo of my name, expressive to my personality, limiting to black-and-white media.

2. Design Method

To research my personality traits, and I completed various online tests to find out the main traits of my personality. The main idea is to develop a logo that will reflect my 'introvert' personality. I am not a dreamer but a person with a deep sense of integrity. Inspired by the researched material, I created  different design concepts, using my first name.

3. Design Process

After reviewing those ideas, I narrowed down my selection to three concepts. In the next reviewing process, I chose only one concept and decided to develop and modify it.

4. Solution

To further develop the chosen concept, I used unity, variety, contrast principles. I also incorporated Gestalt principles i.e. closure, similarity and figure-ground relationship. I used type as the main design element, because I thought the typographic element could be more impactful and more effective to convey the message of my introvert personality. The sans serif font 'Lato' is used here for my name.

5. Design and Color Variations

I also used the text as a texture, to display my  internal thoughts, inward thinking and 'introvert personality'.  

To achieve a non-corporate yet sophisticated design, I designed my personal logo that can clearly describe the design concept. It also gives me the flexibility to use it with and/or without my full name.
