Designing a Vendor Portal Application
Designing a Vendor Portal Application
As a Senior UX Designer, I am honored to lead the design efforts for the B2B Vendor Portal (vPaaS) application. My role centers on crafting innovative user experiences tailored to business portals, encompassing modules for User, Vendor, and Product management, as well as comprehensive customer support features.
The initial plan was to launch with mobile platform first, but later was decided to shift focus on desktop.
Prior to joining the project, there were legacy wires designed by a previous team for both mobile and desktop. As new discovery process proceeded, they evolved from there.
We conducted usability testing sessions with our primary users to validate whether the new designs would solve their problems. During our weekly demos, I wrote scripts including scenarios asking the user to perform tasks.
During the session, I observed how they interacted with the prototype. The usability sessions revealed that some fields, information and other key compliance features were unnecessary and or outdated processes. Over time spent with key stakeholders/users, it became easier and less tedious for the user to identify which forms they had to fill out and meet compliance.
DEFINING THE MVP
We conducted workout and sketching sessions with the team to map out the user flow and come up with a storyboard to capture the MVP.
Conceptualized, designed, and implemented over 30+ features and enhancements across two transactional B2B portals over a span of 2years, fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders including product managers, developers and, subject matter experts (SMEs)
Designed Multiple Service related employee support portals for relevant cader level support systems.
