For millennia, people have wondered about the vastness of the universe and our place in it. But discoveries in recent decades in astronomy, physics, and biology are giving us startling and unexpected new insights to this question. This presentation will highlight some key findings and consider their personal significance.
I think I can conclude this talk in the context of the Rooted theme -- that we want to base our lives on the best science, which today implies that we have a purpose and significance for being here. “There’s a creator who had us in mind.”

The Judeo-Christian worldview sees humans as being created in the image of God. Many intellectuals today disagree, believing instead that humans are the product of mindless, accidental processes over eons of time. This talk will contrast these two views and show why the latter view is untenable by showing the inconsistencies of those upholding this worldview and by illustrating the noxious consequences of this worldview when it is followed consistently.

Plenary 4: We will explore two different ways of building our lives: Life driven by desires for MAC (Money, Achievement, Comfort), which may be what we are familiar with. But here we will present another way to build a life - Life built on 3C (Core, Character, Competence). Which way do you want to build your life? You can decide after hearing this talk.
Plenary 5: We all want blessings in our lives. A blessed life starts with a solid foundation. How can I build my life on a solid, unshakable foundation in this time of uncertainty? Psalm 1 of the Bible gives us a clear picture of a blessed life - life deeply rooted in truth and love. Along with the clear picture, we will learn concrete wisdom and advice to make it happen.
