Dr. Aitzaz Ahsan Alias Sarang

Corporate Finance | ESG & Sustainability | Corporate Governance             

Dr. Sarang is an academic, trainer, and researcher specializing in Corporate Governance, Sustainability and ESG integration, and Finance, with international teaching and research experience in France at EDHEC Business School and in Pakistan, presently serving at the School of Business Studies, IBA Karachi. He holds a PhD in Finance and Corporate Governance from IAE Aix-Marseille University, France.

From 2020 to 2024, he served as Program Advisor/Lead, where he oversaw the design, planning, and review of business programs, integrated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the curriculum through the UN PRME framework, and led accreditation-focused initiatives, among others.

He has been awarded the status of Senior Fellow of Advance HE (UK), a recognition granted on the strength of his academic leadership portfolio and sustained contributions to teaching, learning, and program development in higher education.

Dr. Sarang has taught at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels, published in ABDC and ABS-ranked journals, and delivered impactful professional development programs. His training experience spans corporate, legal, and academic audiences, including two large-scale Design Thinking workshops for more than 60 managers at K-Electric; Assurance of Learning (AOL) training for over 40 faculty members; an ESG module for corporate law professionals at senior positions in leading organizations; and the program Recognizing Teaching Excellence: A Pathway to Advance HE Fellowships, through which he trained over 40 faculty members from more than 30 universities, enabling their progression toward international teaching recognition.
