We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information when you use Word Connect: Brain Puzzle ("the App").
Because Word Connect is a brain training and mental acuity app, we collect the following health-related data:
Cognitive performance data: Your vocabulary quiz scores, accuracy rates, levels completed, and learning progress
Learning analytics: Words learned, retention metrics, streaks, and time spent on brain training activities
Game progress: Chapters completed, stars earned, and achievements related to your mental fitness activities
How we use Health Data: We use this data to personalize your learning experience, show your progress, power the Learning Insights dashboard, and improve our brain training features. This data is primarily stored locally on your device. Some anonymized, aggregated analytics may be shared with our analytics providers to improve the app.
Storage: Game progress and learning analytics are stored locally. Leaderboard scores (which may reflect cognitive performance) are submitted to our backend when you choose to participate in the leaderboard.
We collect:
Device type, model, and operating system version
Platform (iOS or Android)
Language and region settings
Unique device identifiers (for leaderboard deduplication and analytics)
Purpose: App optimization, analytics, and ensuring compatibility.
We use third-party analytics services that automatically collect:
Microsoft Clarity: Session recordings, clicks, scrolls, and interaction patterns to understand how users navigate the app
UXCam (iOS only): Session replay and screen flow data for UX improvement
Crash reports: If the app crashes, crash logs may be sent to help us fix issues
Purpose: To improve the app, fix bugs, and understand user behavior. Data is anonymized where possible.
When you make in-app purchases:
RevenueCat processes your purchase and subscription status
We receive information about whether you have an active Premium subscription
Payment details are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not collect payment card information
Purpose: To unlock Premium features and manage your subscription.
When you create a profile (required on first launch) or use the leaderboard, we collect:
Name (required) – Your full name, used for your profile and displayed on the leaderboard
Email (required) – Your email address, used for your profile and account identification
Nickname (optional) – A display name you choose; if provided, this is shown on the leaderboard instead of your full name
Avatar – Your selected avatar/emoji for profile and leaderboard display
Scores and rankings – Submitted to the leaderboard when you play Rush Mode or other competitive modes
Device identifier – Used to prevent duplicate leaderboard entries
Where this data is stored: Profile data (name, email, nickname, avatar, device info) is synced to our backend (Google Sheets via Google Apps Script) when you create or update your profile. Leaderboard scores and display names are also stored there.
We do NOT collect:
Your physical address or precise location
Precise location or GPS data
Contacts, photos, or calendar entries
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties
We do NOT use your data for targeted advertising
We use the collected data to:
Create and manage your profile (name, email, nickname)
Provide and improve the brain training and word puzzle experience
Personalize your learning journey and show your progress
Operate the leaderboard (display your name or nickname with your scores)
Analyze app usage to fix bugs and improve performance
Process Premium subscriptions
Comply with legal obligations
Local storage: Game progress, learning analytics, and preferences are stored on your device
Cloud: Your name, email, nickname, avatar, leaderboard scores, and device info are stored on our backend (Google Sheets) when you create or update your profile
Security: We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data (contact us to request deletion)
Withdraw consent by uninstalling the app (local data is removed; contact us for cloud data deletion)

Word Connect is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by posting the updated policy in the app and on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
