I am deeply passionate about teaching and view it as a collaborative endeavor between the student and the facilitator. My teaching philosophy is centered around student-driven learning that scaffolds critical thinking and application skills. I value diversity in thought and experience and work towards creating an inclusive environment in my classroom which may look like including Indian and South Asian researchers in reading materials, supporting discussions that respect and include various identities of my students and making consumption of my classes accessible across various mediums (text, visual, audio).Â
Previously taught:
Undergraduate: Experimental Methods in Psychology, Introduction to Psychology
Postgraduate: Lifespan development, Theories of Learning, Psychometry, Quantitative Research Statistics
I also believe in open teaching, that the resources for learning and teaching should be open and accessible. If you are a new instructor in psychology and are looking for resources to courses I've taught before, they can be found here.
