Dan is a long- time resident and supporter of AISD having served on the Board of Trustees for 15 years with 9 years as Board President. During his tenure, he led the efforts to pass bond initiatives and construction for Academy Middle School, Academy Intermediate School as well as additions/renovations to the High School and Elementary campuses. Dan is a graduate of Texas A & M University and is employed by Wilsonart LLC as its head of Engineering currently in his 25^th year of service. He is married to Linda (Russell) Case, a proud AISD graduate as are their two children. Daughter Krystan (Case) Hunt is a teacher at AES with her husband Jared serving as Athletic Director. Dan and Linda have two granddaughters, Hadley, 8 years old and a 2^nd grader at AES and Hannah, 4 who will be marching off to pre-K next year.

Ron has lived in the Academy school district since 1972 and served on the AISD board of trustees for three years in the early ‘90s.

He is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a BS in Elementary and Secondary education. After a tour of duty in Vietnam, the family moved to Temple where he became the first Athletic Trainer at Temple High School and established the elementary PE program in the Temple schools. In 1989, Ron became the coordinator of the newly formed Sports Medicine program in the Orthopedic Department at Scott and White hospital and served in that capacity until his retirement in 2015. He and his wife, Kathy, were married in 1968 and have three children who attended Academy schools: David, Dana (currently serving on the AISD board of trustees), and Monica. Three of their seven grandchildren have been and are a part of AISD-Rian is a 2020 graduate, Rhea Ann is a senior at AHS, and Reid is a freshman at AHS.

Dr. Hammonds is excited to see the growth of AISD and its programs. Community Involvement is an area of pride for Jennifer. In addition to being an active parent volunteer for dances, field trips, and classroom parties, Jennifer has served AISD schools and community in the following ways:

• Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) – Fall 2016 to Spring 2021

• Academy Band Boosters: Fall 2015 to Spring 2021 (Reporter & President)

• Academy Athletic Booster Club: Fall 2020 – Present

• Project Celebration: Summer 2021 - Present

Jennifer is a graduate of UMHB (BS '99 & MS '01) and Capella University (PhD '16), who has been working as an Information Technology Professional for 22+ years. Married to Lon Hammonds and the mother/cruise director of Luke ('22), Matthew ('22), Madalyn ('24), & Nick ('26).
