What is the Big6 Research Model?
The Big6 is a six-step model designed to help anyone solve problems or make decisions using information. It provides a structured approach to information literacy, inquiry, research, and problem-solving.
Developed by Mike Eisenberg and Bob Berkowitz, the Big6 is one of the most widely recognized and used methods for teaching information and technology skills worldwide. It is implemented in thousands of K–12 schools, colleges, universities, and corporate training programs. The Big6 model can be applied anytime people need to find, evaluate, and use information effectively.
