This Privacy Policy applies to the AirTag Detector: Tracker Scan mobile application (referred to as the “Application”), developed by Skywork Technologies (referred to as the “Service Provider”).
The Application is available as a free service supported by advertisements, with an optional paid subscription. It is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
The Application does not require you to create an account or directly provide your name, email address, contacts or other account information.
The Application and its third-party service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
Your device’s Internet Protocol address
Device type, operating-system version and language
Advertising identifiers and app-instance identifiers
App interactions, session information and features used
Bluetooth scan activity and scan-related technical information
Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information
Subscription status and purchase-related identifiers
Approximate location information where permitted and required for Application functionality
This information may be used to operate the Application, provide Bluetooth scanning and tracker-detection features, display advertisements, manage subscriptions, diagnose technical problems, prevent fraud and improve the Application’s performance and user experience.
The Application may request access to Bluetooth or Nearby Devices permissions to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy devices around your phone.
These permissions may be used to:
Scan for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices
Detect supported tracker families and Bluetooth accessories
Display available Bluetooth device information
Measure received Bluetooth signal strength
Estimate whether a detected Bluetooth device may be relatively near or far
Display paired or bonded Bluetooth devices where supported by Android
Depending on your Android version, Bluetooth scanning may require different system permissions.
The Application can only detect Bluetooth signals that your Android device is technically capable of receiving.
The Application may request access to your device’s location.
Location permission may be used to:
Record the approximate location where a Bluetooth device was detected
Display a detection location on a map
Allow you to review where a tracker or Bluetooth device was previously detected
Support Bluetooth scanning requirements on certain older versions of Android
The Application does not use location permission to continuously track your movements unless a feature clearly requires and discloses such functionality.
You may deny or revoke location permission through your Android device settings. Some features, including detection-location mapping or Bluetooth scanning on certain Android versions, may not function correctly without this permission.
The Application is designed to help users scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and supported tracker families.
Depending on the Bluetooth information broadcast by nearby devices, the Application may display or attempt to identify devices such as:
Apple AirTag or Find My-compatible devices
Samsung SmartTag
Tile trackers
Chipolo trackers
Pebblebee trackers
Moto Tag
Other Bluetooth Low Energy devices
Generic or unidentified Bluetooth devices
Detection depends on the Bluetooth signal being broadcast by the device and the Bluetooth capabilities of your Android phone.
The Application does not access private data stored inside nearby Bluetooth devices unless such access is expressly supported and authorized by the Android operating system and the device itself.
The Application may display received Bluetooth signal strength, including values measured in dBm, and may classify signals into general proximity ranges such as very near, near, medium or far/weak.
Signal strength and proximity information are estimates only.
Bluetooth signal strength can be affected by many factors, including:
Walls and physical objects
Distance from the device
Device orientation
Other wireless signals
Bluetooth hardware
Environmental interference
Whether the tracker is actively broadcasting
The Application cannot determine the exact physical distance or exact location of a Bluetooth device solely from signal strength.
The Application may allow you to save or review previous Bluetooth detections.
Detection history may include information such as:
Detected device name, where available
Device identifier or address, where Android permits access
Manufacturer information
Bluetooth signal strength
First-seen timestamp
Last-seen timestamp
Detection location, if location permission is granted
Other Bluetooth information made available by the device and Android system
Unless a feature clearly indicates otherwise, detection history is stored locally on your device.
You may be able to remove detection history through the Application. Clearing the Application’s data or uninstalling the Application may also remove locally stored history, subject to your Android backup settings.
If you enable location-related features, the Application may associate a detected Bluetooth device with the location where the detection occurred.
The Application may display this location using mapping functionality and may allow you to open an external mapping service, such as Google Maps, to navigate back to the recorded location.
Location records represent the location of your phone when the Bluetooth device was detected. They do not necessarily represent the exact physical location of the tracker.
The Application may display Bluetooth information made available by Android and nearby devices, including:
Device name
Bluetooth address or identifier, where available
Manufacturer information
Signal strength
Bonding or pairing state
Bluetooth service information
Device type or tracker-family classification
Not all information is available for every Bluetooth device.
Android privacy protections may restrict or randomize certain Bluetooth identifiers.
The Application detects Bluetooth signals that your Android phone is capable of receiving.
The Application cannot guarantee detection of every tracking device.
In particular, the Application may not detect:
GPS-only trackers that are not broadcasting Bluetooth
Cellular-only trackers
Bluetooth trackers that are powered off
Trackers that are outside Bluetooth range
Devices that are not currently advertising a Bluetooth signal
Devices using unsupported or unknown communication methods
A nearby Bluetooth device does not necessarily mean that the device is tracking you.
Bluetooth devices detected by the Application may belong to:
Nearby people
Neighbors
Vehicles
Wireless accessories
Smart-home devices
Headphones
Watches
Phones
Computers
Other legitimate Bluetooth products
The Application cannot determine the identity of the owner of a detected device or guarantee that a detected tracker is being used to follow you.
The Application is intended as an informational tool and should not be treated as a guaranteed personal-safety or law-enforcement system.
If you believe an unknown tracker has been placed on your belongings or vehicle without permission, or you believe you are being followed or are in immediate danger, consider contacting local law enforcement or another appropriate authority.
Do not place yourself in danger while attempting to locate or remove an unfamiliar tracking device.
The free version of the Application may display advertisements through Google AdMob.
Advertising providers may process information such as:
Advertising identifiers
IP address
Device and operating-system information
General app interactions
Ad impressions and clicks
Advertising performance information
Approximate location inferred from an IP address
Advertising information is processed according to the policies and consent settings provided by the relevant advertising service.
You may be able to limit personalized advertising through your Android device or Google account settings.
Bluetooth scanning history and precise detection-location information are not intentionally shared with advertising providers for personalized advertising.
The Application may offer an optional premium subscription through Google Play.
The Application currently offers an optional weekly subscription that removes advertisements.

Detection history and other information stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the Application’s storage or uninstall the Application.
Technical, advertising, diagnostic and purchase-related information processed by third-party providers may be retained according to their respective privacy policies, service configurations and legal obligations.
Because the Application does not require an account, the Service Provider may not be able to identify or remotely delete information stored exclusively on your device.
You may:
Deny or revoke Bluetooth or Nearby Devices permission through Android settings
