Highly Recommended Payware Add-ons that greatly enhance the PG areas
Why I recommend it: Seattle is the home of Microsoft Flight Simulator, but the default photogrammetry can look a bit rough. Drzewiecki Design fixes this by adding over 2,000 custom-made objects to the skyline. It’s perfect for "low and slow" flying because it models the industrial areas, marinas, and bridges that you see on approach to Sea-Tac or Boeing Field.
Key Highlights:
✅ The Space Needle: Incredible detail—you can actually land a helicopter on it, and the elevators are fully animated!
✅ Seaplane Ops: Includes custom scenery for the Kenmore Air Harbor (W55) and Lake Union (S60) seaplane bases.
✅ Stadiums & Ports: High-quality models of T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field, plus detailed cranes and containers in the shipping district.
Performance Note: Seattle is a heavy area for performance, but this add-on is well-optimized. It runs smoother than the default photogrammetry for many users.
Why I recommend it: Flying over the US Capital is usually restricted in real life, but in the sim, it’s a must-see. The Version 2 update is a massive overhaul that covers the entire District of Columbia. It transforms the city from flat satellite imagery into a 3D masterpiece, perfect for the famous "River Visual" approach into Reagan National (KDCA).
Key Highlights:
✅ Inside the White House: Features a fully modeled interior of the Oval Office and the top of the Washington Monument (yes, you can look inside!).
✅ Includes Airports: Unusually for a "landmarks" pack, this actually includes custom scenery for Joint Base Andrews (KADW), College Park (KCGS), and Potomac Airfield (KVKX).
✅ The National Mall: Every museum, memorial, and government building is hand-modeled with stunning night lighting.
Performance Note: Excellent. Despite the density of buildings, it is very frame-rate friendly.
Why I recommend it: Newark is one of the busiest hubs in the world, but the default MSFS version feels sterile and lacks the "New Jersey grit." Drzewiecki Design transforms it into a living, breathing environment. It perfectly captures the transition from the industrial shipping ports to the modern airport terminals, making the approach over the Jersey Turnpike feel remarkably authentic.
Key Highlights: ✅ Modern Terminal A: The scenery features the recently opened Terminal A with stunning accuracy, including full interior modeling and the unique architectural "wishbone" pillars.
✅ Dynamic Surroundings: It’s more than just runways. You’ll see the AirTrain monorail traveling between terminals, the Newark Liberty Marriott, and even the nearby IKEA and port cranes that serve as vital visual landmarks for pilots.
✅ Atmospheric Night Environment: The custom ground textures and lighting are a massive step up from the default sim. The apron lighting has a realistic "warmth" to it, and the taxiway lines have a weathered, high-resolution look that adds to the realism during night ops.
Performance Note: Because this airport sits inside the "New York City performance triangle," it is demanding on hardware. However, it is highly modular—the installer allows you to disable interiors, 3D people, and static aircraft to ensure a smooth frame rate even during heavy traffic sessions on VATSIM.
Why I recommend it: While the MSFS Japan World Update improved Haneda, Narita (RJAA) was left behind. Drzewiecki Design steps in to provide a massive, high-fidelity gateway to Tokyo. It is famous for its "lived-in" look, featuring custom ground clutter and a huge amount of regional airline branding that makes it feel worlds apart from a generic default airport.
Key Highlights: ✅ The "Mega-Terminal" Detail: All three terminals (including the low-cost Terminal 3) are modeled with performance-friendly interiors. You’ll see animated passengers, custom shop parallax effects, and even the unique "running track" floor markings in Terminal 3.
✅ Diverse Static Fleet: If you use static aircraft, this scenery is a treat. It features custom-modeled JAL, ANA, and various cargo heavies (including 787s and 747-8Fs) parked at the gates with open cargo doors and cabin lights, making the ramps feel incredibly busy.
✅ Industrial Surroundings: The scenery covers more than just the runways. It includes custom mesh for the surrounding area, the Museum of Aeronautical Science, and highly detailed maintenance hangars that make the "long taxi" at Narita much more visually interesting.
Performance Note: Despite the high level of detail, this is one of Drzewiecki's better-optimized large hubs. It uses a very aggressive LOD (Level of Detail) system, meaning it won't tank your frame rate until you are right on top of the terminals. It’s a perfect "long-haul" destination that remains stable even after an 11-hour flight.
Important Note on Add-ons: The reviews and recommendations provided on FSPGHangar.com are independent and based on my own testing and usage. While I only recommend add-ons that I believe offer high value and quality, software performance can vary significantly based on your specific computer hardware and simulator settings.
