Dr. Alvin Yang was born and raised in Toronto. Growing up, he had a very close relationship with his grandparents, and they instilled a foundation of values and purpose in him. Dr. Yang knew he wanted to serve the community in some way, shape or form. In fact, his first summer job was working as an activity aid in the Alzheimer’s ward of a retirement home. There, he discovered his passion and calling for patient care.

He followed this passion, and a decade later, he graduated from the prestigious University of Waterloo Optometry program. Dr. Yang is TPA-certified and has a special interest in dry eye therapy.

In his downtime, Dr. Yang enjoys weight training, restaurant hopping, and singing. In his second year of optometry school, he competed in an international singing competition in Hong Kong and almost signed with a record label.
