We welcome curious, motivated minds from all levels to collaborate on research that advances AI for resilient infrastructure systems.

Applicants should have a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

Considerable programming experience in MATLAB, C/C++, Java, Python, or any other languages is required.

Particular emphasis on:

🔹 AI-driven risk and resilience assessment for structures and infrastructure
🔹 Vision-based and data-driven infrastructure condition monitoring
🔹 Remote sensing integration (satellite, LiDAR, cameras) for hyperlocal risk analysis
🔹 Graph Machine Learning (GNNs) for optimal network resilience
🔹 Generative modeling for synthetic hazard integration
🔹 Data-driven decision-making for natural hazard mitigation
🔹 Foundational models (LLMs) for fusing multi-modal sensing data

We are looking for self-driven M.S. and Ph.D. students with backgrounds in civil engineering, data science, AI/ML, or related fields.
