Active duty members start at over $1600-2000 per month salary. That means you get paid that even if you're sent home early or have to stay home sick for a week. Your housing, utilities, food, medical, and dental are free, so the money goes to whatever you want.
We pay up to 100% of your tuition when you join. You will be matched with an associates degree based on your job but if you want to pursue something different, you can.
We are the only branch to have our own college. All Air Force members are automatically enrolled and earn credits during basic training and tech school. In fact, once you graduate (5-7 month average), you will be approximately 5 classes from your degree. Our college is accredited by the same institution that accredits UAB and Auburn.
Our retirement is hard to match. You are eligible after just 20 years and the pay starts the day you retire. Plus you get medical for life. You will also have a Thrift Savings Plan (essentially a government 401K) started once you join.
Have you ever heard that you need experience to get a job? But nobody will hire you without it? How do you break in to these fields? Not to worry, we will provide training and help you get experience!
You've seen and done just about everything your town has to offer. Now it's time to see what the world has. We have bases around the globe and people to help you get settled in while making the most of your time at any location you go to.
Single members get a dorm room. Our dorm rooms are fully furnished and after training you get your own room which is along the lines of a studio apartment. Married people will have access to base housing if available or extra money for food and housing to cover expenses of living off base.
The Air Force boasts the best quality of life in the military. Between your own dorm room, free education, and so many base amenities available to you, I challenge you to prove me wrong.
