FS2004 Ultimate PA34 Seneca. This aircraft is not mine. Nor the gauges. I have combined from different paths on flightsim to make this the Ultimate PA-34 Seneca. It has a fully functioning glass cockpit. GNS430 and GNS530. FMC and WAAS. You cannot get lost in this aircraft. All buttons work and I have modified the aircraft.cfg for performance, fuel flow and handling. I do not take credit for this aircraft or the gauges. I simply combined them into a panel and made it as I wanted it to be. I used to fly the PA-34 and it was not like this one. If you want to know how to work the glass cockpit then go onto the Garmin site. By Glenn Taylor.

Boeing 747-400 in Air Canada's new livery, using AI Aardvark's 747-400 model, and painted in 32-bit textures. This is another fine aircraft from the stable of AI Aardvark, very AI-friendly and quite flyable too. Model and base textures by AI Aa...

As a general rule, are fs2002 aircraft downloads compatible with and functional in fs2004? I realize that fs2004 hasn't been out that long, but there is a plethora of aircraft available for fs2002 and I would like to utilize some of them in fs2004.

? Aloha Navy, Yes, Generally speaking,I have at least twenty 2002

aircraft and a 49 caddie,so if the file is easy to install ( just aircraft file

and guages) they generally work. Have fun flying, Ric

Thanks for the good news, Riclo. I have been overlooking a lot of aircraft downloads because they were for FS2002. I am very interested in floats and seaplanes. I'm very new at this but am considering a coast-to-coast trip in a seaplane (Renegade, maybe) using strictly seaplane bases. Should be interesting.

I have fs2002 and was thinking about purchasing fs2004;however I need to know if the radio/nav stack looks the same (presentation) as the fs2004 version. I also have x-plane, and their radio/nav stack is awesome in precision and detail, unlike the fs2002....

There is a tool (freeware) here that manages add-ons to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Using this "easy to" Wizard - FSM (FlightSim Manager) can install aircraft, panels, textures and scenery directly from distribution ZIP files you may have downloaded. Also includes an option for proper uninstallation of add-ons.

In addition there is an easy to use Aircraft Editor to add or remove aircraft variants and a comprehensive hangar management option allows you to manage and configure your add-ons for live FS installation.

Note: If the aircraft specified in the 'SITUATION' line doesn't 'EXIST,' one reason could be because an attempt is/was being made by the user to fly a mal-created and/or incompatible A/C. If this occurs go to Internet Explorer toolbar and select 'MY DOCUMENTS.' Then delete "FLIGHT SIMULATOR FILES.' This will delete the temporary flight files held in the FS cache. Go back into the FS A/C folder, check for and delete any incompatable A/C.

2- NEVER select 'go fly' from the fly window with the aircraft you have been jacking with (installing, modifying etc.) Allways start the sim in another aircraft and then select the aircraft you have installed from the select aircraft list.

3- With the initialization error, All you have to do is: Click the FS9 icon. AS the sim is starting, hold down the keys control+shift until the first screen comes up. This will restore the FS9 .cfg file. Yeah, you will have to reset your personal preferences, but it works. Then go to explorere and either investigate the aircraft problem, or drag it out of there. (Delete).

Just wanted to say THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH for this fix. I almost started WEEPING after FULLY REINSTALLING flight sim and I started getting this error (an old plane I had downloaded was no longer part of the default installation, obviously - my "startup" file was pointing to this aircraft")

Thanks for the heads up. I have been trying to educate myself by applying tweeks to various aircraft. Have luckly not ran into this problem yet but feel it was probably only a matter of time until I did experiance it.

I have noticed that I sometimes have a hard time getting the changes I made to surface on fs9. It seems to be reading previous settings and ignoring my new changes. By restart the game and switching back and forth I finally get the changes to surface but have not found a consistant method. I think it probably has to do with a violation of your rule 1 and getting lazy with rule 2

Thanks again ?

I just downloaded an aircraft to my flight simulator 2004 and flew that aircraft once and saved it as a default flight. Then i tried to remove that flight but it didn't remove.I closed the game and next day as i clicked on my game,i got the error"An aircraft initialization failure".I tried many times to remove this problem but it didn't remove.I re-installed this game two times and i got the same problem. Please help me solve this problem.

After uninstalling this aircraft, the error persisted. I found this topic and deleted the saved flight with this aircraft, I thought..

I then backed up my fs9 cfg file, and used ctrl+shift on startup to retrieve a new cfg file. It solved my problem, but since I didn't want to lose all my settings, I searched through the backed up (corrupted) config file.

Here is my solution:

I am trying to do a mission of Chilhowee soaring in FSX and its to use the default Sailplane DG-808S. The mission is posted under Mission\just for fun folder and the sailplane is in the aircraft folder. I have follow the instructions exactly and this pr...

Hi all,As listed in the title, I am trying to find a way if possible, to disable AI aircraft from appearing in the Aircraft Selection Screen basically to clear up my FS and prevent unnecessary clutter. For some reason, I vaguely remember viewing somewhere that you were able to do this by editing the .air file, but cannot remember what or where and if it even was possible.I would obviously like to keep my AI Aircraft so they work in the sim and load and everything, but I don't want to have to scroll through constant sub-menus and have them load for no reason if I don't want to fly them.A lot of them don't show up in the Selection Screen so I know it must be possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!- Kyle

Very simple:To hide individual aircraft use the program called AirEd - aired152_update806.zip - here in the library. =root&Go=SearchYou want to edit line 105 (it will be near the top). Changing the value to 2 (instead of 0) will keep the aircaft from displaying. To edit many AI aircraft, use the program called bbqhideai.zip - also here in the library. This program uses the batch processing concept which makes editing many AI aircraft air files much quicker. =root&Go=SearchHope this helps.

>Great! Thank you for the quick and helpful response!>>EDIT: Figures, the BBQAI exe file crashes whenever I load it,>so I cannot use it for whatever reasons.Sorry to hear that - It has worked fine for me - with XP as my operating system. While you are "cleaning house" you may want to consider a couple of other ideas which I employ. These apply to "dedicated" AI aircraft ONLY - ones which you will never fly.1. I rename the AI aircraft folder in question so it starts with AI-.Example: If the AI aicraft folder was originally named Beechcraft 1900D, I would rename it to AI-Beechcraft 1900D.That places all of my "dedicated" AI aircraft at the top of my aircraft list when I am viewing them by navigating to my aircraft folder. If they are associated with a partiular airport only, I sometimes will include the ICAO code in the name - example: AI-KDAL-Beechcraft 1900DNote: Addon AI packages from Project AI or World of AI will have their aircraft folders named starting with PAI or WOA so that also makes them easier to find quickly when viewing your aircraft folder.2. Dedicated AI aircraft use neither a Sound or Panel subfolder so if any of yours have either subfolder, they can be safely deleted. That frees up a bit of disk space and potentially allows dedicated AI aircraft to load a bit faster.Edit added: You need not be concerned about renaming dedicated AI aircraft folders. Traffic files only seek a match in the title= lines of aircraft so as long as you do change the title= lines, the aircraft folder can have any name you wish.Hope these additional thoughts are helpful. 0852c4b9a8
