Albert is a Senior Scientist in Biomedical Image Processing and Analysis at Ri.MED foundation. Research Affiliate at the Laboratory of Computational Computer Vision (LCCV) in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, at the Institute of Molecular Bioimaging and Physiology, National Research Council (IBFM-CNR), Cefalù (PA), Italy, and at the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Catania (CT), Italy. He received the Combined B.Sc’s/M.Sc’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Catania and the Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at the University of Palermo. His research interests include biomedical image processing and analysis, radiomics, machine and deep learning to develop personalized predictive and/or prognostic models to support the medical decision process in patients undergoing different imaging methods such as magnetic resonance, computer tomography, and positron emission tomography. He is the author of over 64 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings.

Andrea is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Cagliari. He earned his BSc in 2012, MSc in 2014 and PhD in 2019, all from the University of Cagliari. His PhD thesis faced blood cells image analysis and classification issues, in order to create new tools for automatic diagnosis as a support to medical analysis. Author of 13 scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings related to this task. His research interests include computer vision, biomedical image analysis, pattern recognition and machine learning. Currently, he is involved in a research project regarding human activity recognition from trajectory images. Moreover, he is pursuing a research activity for crypto scams analysis and biomedical image analysis for diagnosis support systems. 

Alessandro is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Bioimaging and Complex Biological Systems, National Research Council (IBSBC-CNR) of Cefalu’. He received the BS degree and the Ph.D. in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Palermo, Italy in 2005 and 2016, respectively. 

Currently, his research interests include medical image processing, radiomics and artificial intelligence. 

Author of more than 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings.
