History

Airborne Adventures ltd was established in 1989 as the result of a change in the air navigation order that legalised passenger transport in hot air balloons. We initially flew a balloon that took 8 passengers, but then moved on to greater things, our largest balloon carrying 12 passengers. As things developed we employed additional commercial Pilots so that we were able to fly 25 passengers all at the same time.
We have operated advertising balloons for The Post Office, Smile the Internet Bank, Du Pont, Invista and Hope Technology.
In 2000 we started providing  four day multi-activity adventure trips to Spain and Italy.
Since Covid we have been operating private hot air balloon flights for couples over the Yorkshire Dales.

Although now semi-retired I am still involved in the more pleasurable aspects of ballooning, flying small sporty balloons in the Dales, the Lake District and at European balloon festivals.
