Key Features & Aims:

• Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education:
  NEP 2020 promotes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, integrating arts, humanities, sports, and vocational skills alongside academic subjects to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

• 5+3+3+4 Structure:
  The new system will follow a 5+3+3+4 structure, with 5 years in strengthening foundation, 3 years in preparatory stage, 3 years in middle stage, and 4 years in secondary stage. 

• 100% Gross Enrollment Ratio by 2030:
  NEP 2020 aims to achieve 100% Gross Enrollment Ratio in school education by 2030. 

• Focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy:
  The policy emphasizes the attainment of foundational literacy and numeracy in primary school and beyond for all by 2025.

• Doubling Public Investment in Education:
  NEP 2020 recommends doubling public investment in education, aiming for 6% of GDP expenditure on education.
