AuraaByte ("we," "our," or "us") develops and operates the AI Plant Identifier & Care mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have regarding your data when using our App.
To provide core identification features, AI routine generation, and care tracking, we collect the following types of information:
Camera and Photos: Images you capture or upload to identify plants, diagnose plant health conditions, or attach to your Plant Diary.
Plant Care & Diary Data: Names of plants added, care history, reminders (watering, fertilizing, repotting schedules), customized notes, and progress photos.
AI Chat Interactions: Text prompts, queries, and conversational context sent to the AI Plant Assistant Chat Bot.
Device & Usage Data: Basic diagnostic information, operating system version, unique device identifiers, crash logs, and app interaction data to optimize UI performance and stability.
We process your data strictly to deliver and improve our plant care services:
Visual Identification & Diagnostics: Processing captured photos to identify plant species and assess botanical health issues.
Personalized Care Routines: Calculating care intervals (watering, sunlight, pruning, fertilizing) and sending routine reminders.
Plant Assistant Responses: Generating real-time care advice and conversational answers via our AI chatbot.
App Quality & Optimization: Monitoring system stability, resolving technical bugs, and maintaining smooth UI responsiveness.
To perform accurate botanical recognition and conversational assistance, the App utilizes secure AI inference models and cloud APIs:
Image & Chat Inference: Photos and chat prompts submitted for identification or advice are transmitted securely via encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS) to third-party AI service providers solely to generate the requested output.
No Unauthorized Training: Your photos, diary records, and private chat interactions are not sold to third parties or used for targeted commercial advertising.
Third-Party Infrastructure: We partner with industry-standard cloud and analytics vendors that adhere to strict data security agreements aligned with Google Play Developer Policies.
The App requests the following explicit runtime permissions to function:

Used to import existing plant photos from your gallery for scanning or Plant Diary logs.

Used to trigger timely care reminders (watering, misting, fertilizing schedules).
You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Local Storage: Most scan history, care schedules, and diary entries are stored locally on your device unless cloud sync is enabled.
Server Retention: Transient image and chat data processed by cloud AI endpoints are retained only for the duration needed to fulfill the request, unless temporarily logged for security and error-handling.
Right to Deletion: You can delete individual scans, diary logs, or your full history directly within the App settings. To request a permanent deletion of any server-associated data, contact us at auraabyte@gmail.com.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we take immediate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our features, legal requirements, or Google Play Store standards. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
